I love the epicenter so much that when i tried to sell it to some guys i know they literally refused to buy it cause my price was too high. Eventually the same guys that refuse to buy it came back to get it but i turned them down. I am glad i did cause it makes your bass rich, smooth and earthquake thumping. I love it !❤😊😊
I use mine a secret weapon, some songs need it some don’t but when I ran across your video from back in the day and you explained it I bought one my next purchase will be a DSP . I don’t knock folks my system ain’t all that to the next but I’m slapping a little bit.Md❤✌🏾
My 2¢...Use the epicenter on mostly flat/ old school music/ rap, R& B songs; high bass kick drum music. Case in point: Too Short - Freaky Tales ( '87) Rich The Factor - We Ready Etc...
MB, I pay more attention to what you say makes a sub sound better than the brands. BUT the brand name is also important. You ain’t been wrong yet! Stayin tuned🔊🔊
Epicenter is the way to go for your bass. Iv been using it over 10 years... they just a dream come true bass. Like M.B.E said. Once you k how how to tune it, it's a whole new ball game...the closet thing to an epicenter is a natural earthquake. this low wide smooth ocean flowing bass is like the caviar for you subs....
MBE always drop facts not fiction. I have the Epicenter and set up correctly to integrate with my system . It’s a must have IMO depending on the type of music you listen to. Just be responsible with that knob and you’ll be golden
You would be surprised how low a sealed box goes with an Epicenter tuned right. Even better multiple in separated chambers. Steve Meade also used the older Phoenix Gold Bass Cube too. I dont know about newer Epicenters or Bass Cubes.
You have to have a advanced ear for a epicenter. It was mandatory that I got a epicenter once I got my MBE enclosure. I love my epicenter I do not recommend it if you were just getting into car audio because you will not understand how do use it properly to get the response that he is talking about. I honestly think the epicenter is for advanced car audio users. But if it is used properly and the correct enclosure it is an amazing sound signature sound that you will not eat from anywhere else it is actually addicting. I cannot wait until my budget allows me to get my 2508.. I am desperately waiting to hear what they sound like on the epicenter and of course in a MBEnclosures™ tuned to signature 33hz.
I love my epicenter have my epicenter for 13 years however a epicenter and Amp only don't sounds the best u need a eq or crossover or dsp To set your frequency.
I think the reason why the solo X does not have as many videos is because it is for the advanced car audio users To be honest, I do not think they belong in a prefab box to get the maximum performance out of them. The average person now they probably think it is too expensive then along with getting a custom enclosure for it at the proper tuning. Not to mention having the proper electrical for a quality grade amp that can push our driver at this magnitude. Maybe within due time people will start to come around and realize what kicker has put on the market.
I barely play any old school music. I can see the value in using an Epicenter to restore that lost bass of those old tracks. I have a flash drive filled with them.
MB your one of the only guys I trust on RU-vid when it comes to makin real bass. Just got my epicenter for my single S15L7 1000watt rms box tuned to 33hz. Do I need to switch out the chip? Or is it good the way it is? Just set it and start bumpin?
Been watching your channel for awhile now. From what I've seen and learned I've built up my system. I've got a rockford amp, a 12" l7Q. Got a deck that doesn't clip the signal with a 5 volt pre out. Box tuned to 32 with 3.25 net. It frickin gets down. It's ridiculous for one 12. To help out with 90's music I recently night the epicenter. It made a lot of music have crazy bass but no matter what I did some songs like E40 Rapper's Ball for example. It takes all the bass away. I set it up like you show in your videos and adjusted plus and minus a bit even turning down the remote knob. It still loses the bass. Maybe it's the 33hz chip in it. I don't know. Needless to say I only ran it for a day.
@@nigo4691 read my comment again. It works great for oldies, 90's, ect, but if I can't stop it from taking away the bass from bass heavy songs then why have it?
@@M.B.Enclosures agreed. I've watched all your videos on how to set it up. My box is time to 32 so I set it just like you set yours. With only one hertz difference. Should get pretty close to the same result as you. I've adjusted the set point from noon to ten and even up to the one o'clock position. It adds a bunch of bass everywhere except songs with really deep bass. In one of your videos you mentioned the nine o'clock position should be a "normal" signal but for me the sound still isn't the same as without the epicenter. Any advice beyond your videos would be appreciated.
My thoughts are a epicenter is just a glorified line output converter. Now the audio control crossovers with 30 dials of every frequency a man needs now that a much better piece of equipment.
The original epicenter is not a line output converter, only the epicenter micro. And the equalizers you're talking about dont restore bass. The epicenter lowers the frequency by 2-3 octaves which an equalizer cant do.
Do you have a video tuning the epicenter? I know you have one talking about how to do it but I wanna see someone tuning and showing the different effects at the different settings.
I have an epicenter hooked up and shit but I took it to an audio shop and whenever they tuned it. They had the epicenter and the bass knob up and now when I play rap it doesn’t sound good. Only on Mexican music. Is there something out there where I’m able to control the regular bass and then the epicenter effect separately!?!
Did you switch out the pfm chip? Stock one is 33hz so your signal to your amp will roll off below 33hz with the stock one. I got the 15hz one and it plays the lows muchh better than the stock one.
if you listen to a lot of trap or low 808, than you won't need an epicenter. epicenters were best used back in the day when music was mastered for vinyl. "The low frequencies were causing the cutting stylus to move a long distance from the spiral track, taking up a lot of the available space. The answer - cut the bass!" that the epicenter will restore.
On your Ram Megacab where do you get your signal for the epicenter from the factory sub cable or one of the speaker? I have an epicenter but I took it off because I was getting the signal from the factory sun cable and it was a lot of distortion.
I know you did a video about putting a small system together for under $1,000. And you said to add an epicenter and some other things. When is it good to have an epicenter and when not to have.
.MB I HAVE A 2012 RAM WITH A PORTED FOX BOX WITH 2 10 SUNDOWN SA CLASSIC ON A SKAR 1500 im debating on a skar 2000 or this epic center not sure what the tuning is for box it sounds good but trying to get it a little deeper if possible. They subs rated at 750 rms per sub?
Do you think the epic center is good for single sub setups? I am having issues determining how much i should the epic center bass knob and how much to turn the sub knob.
Regular Epicenter is strictly for bass enhancement, 7i is a line out converter used for allowing a person to add amps to factory system. Front, Rear and Sub channel w/ accubass to control the bass roll off of factory head unit.
U will say that cause u never used it and experience the amazing effects it has. Only people with lack of research knowledge will say such things. Just remember this saying "KNOWLEDGE IS POWER".Without knowledge, you will remain ignorant and also very arrogant. As a result, you will end up doing things that will get you into trouble. I didn't like the epicenter at first, i said the same thing you said, waste of money. But when i tried it myself and i started receiving information on that device, it blew me away instantly. That is when i realized ithe level of my ignorance so take this as an example. DO RESEARCH ON ITEMS BEFORE YOU CRITISIZE OTHERWISE YOU WILL LOSE OUT ON VALUABLE INFORMATION. PEACE😊
