I think it’s beautiful and agree with your assessment. Needs sanded just a tad more and it doesn’t matter the amount of money, them pits are a pain. However it turned out beautifully. Love the shape. You did an excellent job my friend. ❤
Think its a cool looking pipe there Jason! I love using African blackwood on my pipes. Such a beautiful wood to work with. Yes briar can be very phoenique. Theres times i had $60 briar blocks that were no good. Anytime with working with briar is a role of the dice if its good or not. But small sand pits will not effect the pipe as long as there are no bad pits in the bowl. If the pits bother you Rusticate the bowl. Good to see you agine brother God bless and Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Merry Christmas! I don't really smoke much in winter so I don't have the opportunity to make videos. I can't smoke in the house, and it's too cold outside to stand out there with a pipe. :)
That's the thing about Briar, it's so darn unforgiving as far as scratches are concerned. You're gonna have to gettem all out before you get to the 800gr. stage. After that it's smooth sailing. If you don't you're just polishing scratches. That's an awesome looking pipe though.
