Just came back from San Francisco for a concert. Streets were packed with people. My motel was right on borderline of tenderloin and I didn't have any problems. Going back in 2 weeks to see another show. I love it there even if it is expensive. It was 106 back home while i was enjoying 60 degree weather.
They see that the redhats are eating up that content and make more of it. Money is money, I guess. Sad that they have to sell their soul to get it though
Yeah I know, you have these fools acting like The Tenderloin is the whole of San Francisco. And they won't listen to reason. I tell them, I'm local, grew up in the Bay Area, still live here, go to SF often, it's NOT full of homeless people. And they won't listen. Stuck in their maga rabbit hole. smh. 🙂
Tourism in SF is not down 80%. It's up only 80% of pre-pandemic, so 20% down. But it was 50% down last year. By next year they'll exceed pre-pandemic levels again.
We left San Francisco today, going home to the UK. Spent a week here and had a fantastic time. Felt safe, people were polite. Stayed clear off the Tenderloin, everywhere else was grand tho. So much to do & see. Well worth the visit 👍🏻
Oh, come on! Sausalito and Tiburon are automatic visits. Most people will usually also take some type of Silicon Valley tech tour as well. Most of the major tech companies have a visitor center and touristy activities too. Uptown Oakland and Jack London Square are great too. Definitely worth the BART/ferry ride. Interestingly, most of the touristy destinations are accessible by ferry from the most touristy parts of SF.
I think most of these people are not tourists but local people hanging out and waiting to see the fireworks. On a normal day, you probably won't see much people in the area
On a normal day it's busier, especially when the cruise boats are there. According to the stats tourist traffic is at about 80% pre-pandemic. It was only 50% recovered last year. By next year it will be above 100% of pre-pandemic. Don't believe everything you hear on Fox News.
The lack of the American flag on a day like this is... amazing... Maybe the lefty side of America should implement the Soviet flag at this point. Very disturbing...
@@TohaBgood2 I believe you. But I didn't see any of it in this video. Yeah, politics is important to me because the world is going crazy and c*mmie because leftist Americans. I really don't want to experience the hardships my grandparents and parents had to endure under the USSR. Look up Yuri Bezmenov.
@@realMoMoPuFF USSR-style communists/socialists are called "tankies" in the American left. And that is the most powerful leftie insult that one can dispense. Translated that means either totalitarian or "leftie fascist". It's right up there with zingers like "have you even read Marx?" My point is that the American left is mostly a bunch of moderate social-democrats that just want us to raise corporate taxes by 5% so that we can have the same social safety net that they have in other Western democracies. Despite what Fox News might be telling you, only a tiny tiny minority of the American left is actually in support of anything even remotely similar to Soviet style "communism". And those people are made fun of savagely by the entirety of the left. Oh, and the Dems are literally just Republicans but without Trump. People forget how similarly they used to vote in Congress. There was basically no difference in terms of economic policy. They did the same things in the same order regardless of which party got more votes. It was only when Trump came around that the Cons became semi-fascist. But the Dems are exactly where they were. Nothing changed there whatsoever.
