What is so mind boggling is .... the worst people to work with are counselors. They do not practice their own discipline of work in the business environment and most are type B personalities and can not use psychology efficiently to be a team player with other personalities, esp type As. These counselors attempt to be psychologists or psychiatrists, which is above their paygrade; hence causes more problems in a business environment. Many times, these attempts, usually make situations worse. This is the reason type Bs are not good managers of people or processes in the leadership role in a business environment as they tend to over-analyze versus making quick decisions when needed due to their over analytical minds. They massage the hell out of non-significant things and can not focus on the outcome or long term goals of a business setting. They are 'in the moment' minded, similar to their career discipline when in a room one-on-one with another individual. Counselors need to remain counselors and not put in jobs of leadership unless it is managing their own career minded counseling personnel duties only.... but not the business operational side. They just are not cut out for it. My opinion based on personal experiences. On another note, this is why I never understood in a hospital environment, why they would take a successful seasoned surgeon, promote him to a chairman of surgery for $ increase, then stick him in an office to manage the business, budget, grants, and the operational side of surgery. Then the surgery unit begins failing due to putting people in the wrong positions. Happens to teachers, docs, nurses, etc. Keep them in the positions they are good at, the position they have their degree in, and give them a raise without changing their duties. This happens many times. And, we wonder why Healthcare is failing and why we have such a hard time with increasing mental disabilities. . The wrong folks are in the wrong positions and the newly graduated are filling roles of promoted seasoned folks with no mentor, no shadowing, no guidance. It is a simple fix. And we need to revert to the way it used to be versus a political game play of promotions and job titles.

I like the advice but the background music is almost as loud as the voice. It distracts from the points one is trying to make.
