Damn, I REALLY wish they kept Ingrid's & Ferdinand's original lines (Mercedes too, to a lesser extent). Those are so depressing. I think the rest are not as good as the localized lines, though.
What does Catherine originally say? Because her death quote is completely different in Italian and Latin American Spanish. The latter is, "Even if I am reduced to ashes, our mission will continue..."
@@zachataxxii7126 Ingrid's original lines make a little more sense (not like the localized ones don't because they're mainly a shortened version) since it's linked to her support conversations with Dimitri (C-B).
I think the saddest death quote is actually the European Spanish (EDIT: Latino as well) version of Shamir's "I should have died before I found so many reasons to live..."
Why the English translation changed many things tho? Like for example jp Indoor!Constance said “Father, Mother... Forgive me, I am no longer-“ And then the en translation just make her talk about her goal. I mean that’s great too, but Constance calling out for her parents is way more meaningful.
Treehouse just does that. I think they’ve more or less toned down the deliberate mistranslations after the backlash they got from the previous game, but still some of these more minor changes are unnecessary.
This is common in a lot of translations sadly, localization teams take it way too far and it sadly results in the dialogue and characters being watered down.
@@fukunaga-kane look up saizo and beruka's C support for Fates and watch a comparison with the NA version vs the fan translated version of the JP one. you'll see just how bad it really is.
Ingrids death scream was agonising in english. But was terrifying in Japanese. Most of the girls death screams were horrifying tbh Sadly,felixs death scream wasn't that good in Japanese
The girls Nailed it, i do personally prefer Felix's English scream, it really sounds like he gets disembowled and is bleeding out struggling to get back on his feet while looking for his weapon.
I really appreciate English voice actors and they really did a great job in this game, but the death quotes were their weakest point, sone of them really didn't feel they're dying. Listening to their death quotes in Japanese honestly makes me sad, it's obvious they're taking their last breath. (Except Bernadetta, why is her jpn voice so bad?)
Ingrid's english death quotes (and voice acting) were pretty good. The Japanese's voice actress was just better and had a few more lines. However, post time skip Dimitri's voice hasn't "matured" enough to my taste (since the japanese dub has the advantage of making almost everyone go through puberty during the 5 years time skip, except the deepest/most mature voices, hell, even Claude's voice got way manlier compared to his younger self)
I prefer the English voice acting for most of the characters (my favorite English VA's are in this game), but I really love the Japanese voice acting. Ingrid, Felix, Shamir, Cyril, Lindhart, Dorothea, Ferdinand, Jeritza, Claude, Marianne, Lorenz, Yuri, and Constance are especially good in Japanese.
i really like the JP voices like you can really feel their emotions and dio voices seteth and genos from one punch man voices dimitri along with various other anime va's i might know
I wish you could enable the Japanese Screams only as they sound so much more Brutal than the English ones, with the Exception of Felix Lucien Dodge made that sound insanely Brutal.
In my opinion, I like both the English and Japanese death quotes/ screams( Except Annette’s English death scream) . I do agree that in English their death screams are kinda their weak points ( Except Ingrid’s and Felix’s death screams ). Ultimately I feel that some of the Japanese death screams aren’t realistic in a sense, like you instantly get killed in battle you won’t have much breath to scream super loud. But this is a game so it doesn’t have to be realistic.

kind of annoying when people come into japanese videos and constantly bring up the english voice acting but not a single comment on the english voice acted videos about the japanese versions. why are some of ya'll even here if you're just gonna complain/compare? it's rude.
@@Fallendown-pq1ot I found out more about it, it was an oversight that the developers overlooked right before the DLC release Though personally, after hearing the English death cries, I'm glad that oversight happened and both dubs got the Japanese death cries
