What's the saddest death quote in the franchise? I actually think its Fiona's from Radiant Dawn lol. “Lady Micaiah... Daein's light...I give you... everything...”
He's just so far into denial that he doesn't believe it's even possible that he can die. After training relentlessly to avoid ending up like Glenn, he refuses to believe it.
What gets me about his is that he says he can't see. It would be terrifying foot anyone to be in that situation, whether literally blinded or figuratively but dying anyway. It's in my opinion him expressing fear when faced with death because it wouldn't be like him to admit that directly.
My catherine died on the final turn of azure moon to a bullshit crit with no enemies except him and hegmon left, then Dimitri decided to crit Hegemon, and i had to restart the 2 hour long map. :/
Damn I heard it for the first time while playing. Came here to listen to it again, her voice actor did an amazing job. It hit me real hard when she said that with her voice breaking.
Same. Felix actually sounds like he's being burned to death :( And Ashe... just started a Blue Lions run and he's so precious. Killed him on my Golden Deer run and it destroyed me.

@Merciless Freak He’s a character, not a real person. I understand how hurt he is and seeing him develop throughout the story makes me feel satisfied. It’s important to draw a line between a character and a real person, otherwise characters like Dimitri would be 100% unlikeable and irredeemable. Liking a certain type of character doesn’t mean you like that type of person in real life. That’s a completely pointless argument. Also, one thing I like about his temper is that he’s not afraid to say things that the other characters might be, even if he goes a bit overboard sometimes.
Characters who can't accept death on the brink of their death bed always hit hardest for me. Like all the respect to people who's death quotes are dying wishes, apologies, etc, but people who just go like "God dammit, it hurts..." or "I don't want to die..." or just can't grasp it like Felix hit hard... note idk why i find it funny how ignatz is the one killing like half the black eagles
I think the hardest hitting for me have to be Ingrid, Felix, Caspar and Ashe. But no one is taking about Ashe's! He has a family to go back to, two younger siblings whom he's sacrificed everything for, and now he's just dying.
Ah I get it! Byleth’s death quote is quite literally “*So this* is how it ends...” So this... Sothis.... IntSys really thought they were clever with that one, huh?
He does if he dies before the time skip.... I think at least.... Something about failing Edelgard or the like. It's been a while since it happened so don't quote me on that

As sad as this is, this is why I love Fire Emblem. I always played casual mode because I was new, so when I started up a classic mode run I thought it would just be more of a challenge, but I was wrong. The first character to die for me was Petra and after that moment I started to realize that they could die at any time...There's no warning, no preparation, no prediction...their just gone. It gave me a huge upgrade in appreciation for the characters and made me way more careful of moves during a battle.
I also play it in casual mode, I refuse to see my Black Eagles friends(Especially Petra dying) against the enemy or to kill them(I'll always recruit all of them)
Story time: since the cinnamon rolls are the thumbnail (Ignatz and Ashe) my brother accidentally killed Ashe, I told him to use divine pulse, buthe declines, but then he realizes that he needed to use Byleth to get Ashe, but he cant go back since he saved.

In my black eagle playthrough the saddest quotes when killing someone from another house went to Ashe and Anette. Ashe says "Lanato.. I was trying to do the right thing" and Anette says something to the effect of "It hurts... please father.... help me..."
The death screams from IcyScrumpy's Fates Abridged video keeps coming to mind. Also Ignatz has had enough of being called a mediocre chip damage dealer and happens to be short on red paint in the last part of the video.
