In Florida and Alabama, yabbies are called Ghost Shrimp and are used for whiting and pompano. Meanwhile, here in Korea I've never seen yabbies, but the national bait of Korea seems to be sandworm (갯지렁이)

Hey roger, thankyou for putting up so many easy to understand videos on your channel. After never catching a fish to wondering if im going to take one home for dinner i can say just about every time i go fishing now im catching 2-4 fish, being able to take a fish home, prep it and eat is about as good as it gets when it comes to prepping food, thankyou.

Awesome video Roger ! some days the fish just don't want to play ! could be the moon , could be the rain , could be barometer , i know one thing for certain - lakes like that can be shut down during the day but fire at night ! Narrabeen lagoon was like that - catch nothing while the sun was up but once it started to get dark the fish went crazy ! Luderick were the opposite though !

I've been fishing Burrill lake recently, success with bait but not with lures which is more fun. Similar to the trout fishing back at home. I've also been fishing Wairo beach and it's been tough compared to recent years. Your worming videos have helped catch and entertained a lot of kids watching and trying this week. We will be out there again tomorrow to try and get one with the finger technique 👍🏼

Hi mate, thanks for sharing your knowledge. My local beach in Adelaide I fish is in a gulf so we don’t get normal waves. Interesting fact I’ve come to see is, our first light in summer is around the 530am we are always there for first light however regardless of weather it’s early on the incoming or mid or high the will turn on constantly between 7 to 730 am we fish the sand bars with a bit of white water for yellow fin whiting and the absolute best bait is the weed worms they seem to out fish the beach worms.

Thanks for another great video Roger. I've just come back from fishing Burrill last week and also found lots of those Cunjevoi type creatures in the lake They've been around for about the last ten years in that stretch of the lake I reckon. I always assumed they were a juvenile form of Cunjevoi but I guess not. I'd also love to know what they really are. Seem like a filter feeder of some sort.

Thanks Roger -- another verry informative video. What is the model no. of the Shimano Anarchy rod you used in this video? Re: your water shoes. I have a similar pair and was told that the material they're made of is more like a plastic than rubber (e.g. similar to "Crocs"), so they may not perish as quickly.

For saltwater I've found that the best all round bait is the freshwater carp preferably not frozen but fresh which means early carp fishing and afternoon saltwater fishing on the same day. Fillet when your at your beach, hook it and in no time bingo. The oil in this carp drives everything nuts.

How long is the pvc rod holder?
@ianbertenshaw4350
@ianbertenshaw4350 6 месяцев назад
I don't know about Roger's ones but mine are 1m long 40 or 50mm DWV PVC pipe from Bunnings (they sell 1m lengths) - I like the extra length because if the bottom if the lake or river is soft I can drive the holder in a fair way to stop it falling over. If you drill a 12mm hole about 30mm down from the top you can feed some cord through them to make a shoulder sling which allows you to carry two or three holders comfortably. The sling is nothing more than a length of cord or thin rope with small carabiner clip tied to one end and a loop tied up on the other - feed the loop through the holes on the rod holders and clip it on to the carbineer clip and then sling the lot over your shoulder.
