Yall keep saying Duren defense regressed...i disagree...Ivey, burks, sasser, Bogdan all were gettin blew by their man....duren cant clean up all their mistakes or lack of defense...the backup bigs were trash(WISEMAN)low basketball iq...and stewat was hurt alot this year...the better perimeter defenders were ausar and grimes..who hardly played when we traded for him and the refs would just call bullshit ticky tac fouls on him cause hes a rookie or just to get him out the game...then he misses the last part of the season cause of blood clots..but people expected duren to clean up all these weak defenders mess.. and i dont get the hype for claxton...he averaged 10 pts and 8 rbs for his career (5 years) duren averaged a 14 and 12 in his second year, but some people keep pumpin him up like he should start over duren..gtfoh..the pistons need better perimeter defenders and a better backup veteran center.

I agree my guy, Duren reminds me of Derrick Coleman. Go ahead and try to bully him, and the post game could be polished. He could grab 15 boards a night if he got more tick.

Not to mention a Monty sabotaged the team. A year ago all you heard was Duren and Cade dominating Team USA. Duren was a standout defensively with every coach except Monty

Heading into last season Monty emphasised the importance of perimeter ball containment. It’s what his defensive philosophy depends on. That didn’t happen. And we saw the results. I think he wants better perimeter defenders first and foremost.

We need to go with dalton knecht at 5. Guarenteed offensive power..3pt shooting A, midrange B+, creating shots A-, dunking/finishing at rim A-. He isnt a good defender but with ausar it'll hide his weekness plus hes very athletic so with effort he can be even an okay defender. (Trade ivey pls lol)

Trade Duren , Stewart , Ivey Fournier and Sasser to Utah for Lauri Marrkanen and Taylor Hendrick and their first round pick. Draft 3pt shooter Reed Sheppard with 5th pick , Zack Edey with the 10th pick. Draft Bronney James with that 2nd pick so LeBron can come hear and play with his son. Sign , Monti Morris , Andrre Drummond , Luke Kennard and Mike Muscala. Starting Lineup Cunningham , Sheppard , Drummond , James and Marrkanen 2nd unit Thompson , Fenchicio , Edey , Morris and Kennard . Keep Umude & Boihiem. because they can hit the 3. Bronney, the forward from Princeton and Muscala. NBA champions in 2025. Tell me if your feeling this.

As far as a new coach, Mark Jackson is available. He built one dynasty, he could do it here too. Especially this team with such a young talent. MJ could raise this team in both play and attitude.
