THIS WAS MY FIRST RACE IN RON TAMBOURINE'S THIRD GEN RX-7. THIS RACE WAS HELD AT BLACK HAWK FARMS RACEWAY NEAR BILOT,WISC. RON AND I ARE WORKING TOGEATHER ON THE FUTURE DEVELEPMENT OF THIS THREE ROTOR RACE CAR!!!
Sounds naturally aspirated to me. I know I'd prefer my RX7 to have 3 or 4 rotors without the complicated plumbing, vacuum lines, excessive heat and lag that comes along with turbo(s). Not that my twin-turbo has much lag, but on a track I'd prefer a more linear horsepower curve, without having to wonder exactly when the turbo is coming on.
Wow, that car has some serious potential!!! I have a moderately modified road s8 FD, but that car is something else altogether, just incredible! Thanks for posting! :)
I love the exhaust sound man that car flies. Would be so fun on fwy messing with all the new hotrods. He passed everything like they were standing still
The cures for the rotary are out there, but if the rotary was perfected to the level of a piston engine, it would put a lot of people out of work. We all have seen rotaries crush the piston engines in all forms of competition events and live to go more rounds
Car sounds incredible. I'm looking to place a 3 rotor in my offroad race car. If you don't mind me asking is it a short ecentric? What RPM are you pulling?
this is what im talking about!!!! im sick of seeing videos of 20b's in races where they're running a tiny bit of boost and the safest tune they could come up with and giving rotaries a bad name lol
