I'm so glad the tips are helpful for you. If it feels daunting, try adding one or two notes at a time. A classic example would be from Eminor to G. Try walking up on the lowest string (adding an F# - 2nd fret) in between. As slowly as you want at first. It's a super satisfying transition!
This is great fun. I do a similar process, but I throw in an odd chord to give it a unique sound, and then follow it through from there. In this case, after shovel run runs with the G and D I went to a C major seventh G, for dramatic effect then to a B-17, then back to the G. I love this stuff, so thanks so much for sharing.
