The reason Blitzwing wasn’t this color was because the director wanted a G1 starscream looking character in the movie but the studio was still deciding if the movie was going to be a reboot or a prequel to the Michael bay movies,but when the decision was made the color scheme and head was slightly changed on the character that at one point was supposed to be Blitzwing but was now starscream,and there probably wasn’t enough time to change Blitzwing wings color scheme this much to have it be more like G1 Blitzwing,because (as someone that has worked with 3D animation before) I know that rendering takes a long time and if you want to change the colors you would need to render it again.
My guess for the reason why Blitzwing looked like Starscream in the Bumblebee movie was because they probably originally planned it to be Starsceam but they didn't want to kill off such a big character right away.
Or... He was just a random seeker that needed a familiar name for the toys. Because giving him a generic robot name would make him less appealing to the fans.
I'm thinking, if they're continuing the Knight-verse, they could use Shockwave to repair / revive Blitzwing and make him a triple-changer... Plus that could explain the purple colors.
If they did give him this colour scheme instead of what we got with him colour wise I'd personally hope they wouldn't colour the helmet yellow. Yes it might be G1 accurate, but it just looks silly on this design. What also sucks is there's a Bumblebee movie comic that shows Blitzwing, while still being designed similarly to Starscream, having a third tank alt-mode, so his robot mode has tank parts on it to, and it looked *_amazing._*
Yeah Blitzwing in general I think needed a redesign. This looks great but I can only imagine how awesome it’d be with a tank turret on the back and some treads
Blitzwing was just a throwaway name. Because of the many script and story changes they had to change the name from possibly Starscream to Blitzwing. That explains why he never was mentioned by name and died very early on. Plus the blitzwing we got in the film doesn't match Starscream at all.
Holy crap, this looks soooo much better than his weird starscream color scheme. This should have been his color in the movie. It looks just like his G1 self. All thats left is he needs to be a triple changer

Tbh yes he should of been this colour from the start but in the bumblebee comic apparently blitzwing was hiding from humans and a beige and purple get might be standing out but I don't know planes maybe some are. I really want one of these figures but I cant spend the money looks amazing though.
Ahh I prefer the original color scheme better. It fits the “real-world” aesthetic. It’s also much more menacing. Also, changing the color for the CGI character would’ve costed a lot of money, specially since trailers were already made. Wouldn’t have been worth it for a character that wasn’t much in the movie.
I was watching someone’s else channel and it was a figure that looked Exactly like 3A blitzwing and it can transform. Edit: it’s called the mechanical alliance SX-01 Thunder Warrior
There are obvious differences in the chest area with Starscream aside from the bits of blue that differentiates him even further from the other Decepticon seekers
Now we wait if that fan theory of the human group reverse engineering Shatter and dropkick triple changer T-cog into the remains of Bliztwing result in us getting to see a triple changer and G1 colored version of this. (With maybe 3 personalities like in TF Animated)
If they redid the ss version they could add a turret to his back and it would be on top of the plane mode. I know some people wouldn’t like that but I think it would be cool because we barely ever get three perfect modes on a triple changer and they often have parts that carry over that probably shouldn’t.
The right booster shoulder piece on yours is dirtier than the left one. Funny thing. The left one on mine is dirtier than the right one. I’d be willing to trade shoulder pieces if you are. It’ll make both our figures look more uniform lol
Me thinks that it was probably originally Starscream, then they saw they killed him off and they were like NO NO NO NO NO....... So instead of going back and recoloring him, the cheapest thing to do was change his name. Lol
Hasbro: Blitzwing is a good figure right takara? Takara :yes (Hasbro sees Threezero blitzwing G1 paint) (bliztwing figure gets unpopular) all ThreeZero bliztwing repaints gets sold
Still not sure what happened with Blitzwing in BB Was he supposed to be Starscream and they changed it? Why not change to Skywarp or Thundercracker or another seeker? Why not give him Blitz color?
Making him Skywarp or Thundercracker would still leave the same problem, especially since we saw them in the opening scene. Someone said they should've made it Ramjet, I must agree
I do find it curious that we get blitzwing and he looks like starscream and we do not see him triple change yet both the antagonist deceptions are triple changers with one being a jet and car and the other a helicopter and car like springer.
@@PrimeVsPrime sounds about right or it could have been a mistake like we have starscream to get more people in then bumblebee kills him and they are like "wait this is before the bay films right?" " yes " "and starscreams alive for them right?" " yes" "............whoops, QUICK change the name" IMO Ramjet would have been a better fit even without the cone head ;p .
Where and how did you get this mate? I am from UK and been looking for this for a while but 3Zero website said sold out already for any Blitzwing. Will they be making them again soon? Do you have any suggestion how to get this. I prefer this vintage version over original mainly because of the face. I don't like dark face which is hard to see. Many thanks in advance.
@@PrimeVsPrime thanks for the reply. I have manage to find 1 blitzwing in the UK finally after going through everywhere. Found 1 on eBay as well but he doesn't accept return. So went with the online retailer but they only have normal version. But happy with it anyway. thanks again.
