@@Slacking02 From what i've seen the robot mode on the 3 Zero still looks more proportionately accurate to the movie BUT that freedom leader is damn close!
yes threezero produce the premium scale of the bumblebee with added articulation/alternate eyes expresion and more led for the weapon and the chest lightsi wouldn't surprise if they made this prime in that same scale, but i've already enjoyed deluxe scale its enough for me
Only thing keeping me from getting this is waiting to see how Toyworld version turns out because I want more weaponry. Sure, you can transform it into truck mode, but it's the extras (versus this one) that have me interested in the TW version.
I wish we got a size comparison to Autobot Apex, aside from Faith Commander, that's the only '80s one I'm looking at for an accurate and transforming Optimus
Can’t wait to get this guy, the price is such a bargain too all things considered. This could easily be $400, and yet it’s gonna retail $190. This might possibly be the best Optimus Prime figure ever made. Easily top 5, perhaps top 3. Even if doesn’t transform. The sculpt, paint, articulation, durability/quality all raise it to the top
While Optimus' design in the movie was cool and I initially I wished we had seen more of him, taking long looks at this piece makes me realize that the design feels a bit too crammed with details even though the general silhouette and porpotions are on point. Generally the gunmetal gray parts around the joints feel somewhat overdesigned. Though maybe it's just because of contrast with Bee's rounded and simple design, and the fact that stuff like detailings in the face mask had to be sculpted with deeper panel lines to make them out while in the movie they were purely bonus details visible during closeups. Though this is still a magnifcent figure and I probably would get it if I ran into it.
A balance of articulation and appearance is the perfect figure for me. And ThreeZero's Optimus? Holy fuck, I am wet. *sees him pulling off the one knee pose* YES!!!!
Been, why didn't you compare this to the recent OSKO BB Optimus Prime that you reviewed recently? It would have been great to see them, both to compare size and paint, etc.
This looks amazing. But if it doesn’t transform. I don’t see the point, so I don’t collect them. However this is gorgeous! I’d love to see at proper MP version.
Hi Ben! Just wanted to ask if it’s the same height as the weijiang mpp10? Please advise. Or, better of you could do a photo comparison of them side by side. 🙏🏼
Hey Ben, nice review. Question, do you pay customs charge on all the figures you purchase? Whether its from TF-Direct, Show Z, etc... I just find the costs for these figures really start to mount up quick when shipping, customs, etc all add up. Being a UK based collector as well of course.
Is this figure already released, I pre-ordered mine directly from 3A, now Threezero site but I haven't received it yet. I pre-ordered the first batch figure
@@dankmemer2774 Threezero wasnt/isnt ThreeA. Ashley wood and another guy created ThreeA. Woods business partner went and started Threezero. Woods shut shop with His own company ThreeA, so you wont get Ashely Wood design from Threezero, which is just a alternative to other Brands (Hot toys etc). I do like the company though.
Murray Lochrie oh alright, but all the “threezero” figures are on preorder @ sideshow.com under the name “threeA” so that’s what led me to believe that threezero and threeA are interchangeable names.
So I missed out on the Nemesis Prime special edition of this bad boy, BUT seems they did a limited edition Shattered Glass recently that was was just able to pre-order before it went to wait list. Only place I've seen it for sale is on Sideshow collectables.
