The cute little German house you found does not tell the temperature, it is a barometer. When the weather is good the little lady comes out of the house, when the weather is bad, the little man with the raincoat comes out. My German great grandmother had one, and I was thrilled to find one for myself years ago. They actually work too! Super fun find!!
@@susancarline1927 Mine has the thermometer on the front as well. I never thought it was functional, but I looked at it today and it is actually the correct temperature! Who knew? It is however also a very accurate barometer. It is raining/snowing here today and the little man in his raincoat is all the way out!
That first plate might have been scratched but the second one you picked up looked like a pinheiro bordello platter. It's okay Zeb we have an apocalypse room. 😊 I think a lot of people have resorted to being prepared.
I thought the same thing..I had the bride doll & my sister had the bridesmaid one. Mine even still has the rhinestone 💍 ring! I think my doll had longer hair but it does look like Jami's might be Madam Alexander ❤
Oooooh! I have a set of Sheffield Bone White. It was my mother's. My cousin has the same set that was her mother's. Our Moms saved stamps from groceries bought at Winn Dixie stores and traded them for the basic pieces, then some completers (my Mom had the soup tourine) were limited time bonus items. It's a beautiful set. I sadly broke my vegetable serving bowls years ago. And the salt shaker. There were USA and China (or maybe Japan) ones that differed slightly in the swirl pattern.
I saw the weather your way when it said snow in Utah I told my hubby, Jami will be so bummed😂 This crazy weather this year..Loved your haul today. So many finds.. look up to see if the bride doll is by Madam Alexander. I had one in the 1950s ... It's old! I think we still have her in storage! That trifle dish looked really nice.. and the white dishes are lovely! I think the "sandle season"mug is adorable.. now all we need is actual warm temps! Happy taco lunch day🌮😋❤️
It is easy to paint the velvet in the jewelry boxes with chalk paint. I do it all the time if I can't get the stains out. Jeb, the yellow drawer/shelves would make cute planting boxes.
I like to tease him. And ironically those crystal candlesticks he found I had put back lol. But if I am on the fence and put it back and then he gets it, it usually means it’s good and it sells.
Zeb, you need to check out what Canterbury Cottage did with an old plastic clock for outdoor use! It's in her latest diy video of her English cottage patio makeover. So cute!
The pitcher that Jami liked at the last store was part of a milk frother. It would have had a clear lid and an electric base similar to one for an electric kettle
I know that feeling of thinking I don’t need a cart🤦🏽♀🤦🏽♀🤦🏽♀🤦🏽♀ then I find myself walking back to the front to get one🤣🤣🤣 great video as always 👍🙋🏽♀
I was in SLC but I hit the Bins and the DI. Ad no idea 1/2 off at the Goodwill😢. But I did try Over the Counter Cafe. We met someone there the drives up from Lehi every weekend. It was very good!
I love you guys but saying that $8 is too much for a candle holder might not be a good idea. I mean, how much are you gonna sell it for ? You think that amount would be ok ? Just sayin !! I do love yall though 💕🌷💕
We will sell it along with another as a set for $49. But we will paint it and give it a new look and if we have to ship it, it will probably cost $10 more than the website charges. So after time, shipping supplies, insurance, mortgage, gas etc it all ads up. I try to buy at a price that after expenses and my labor it’s worth it. So $8 was about $3 over which doesn’t sound like a lot but if everything is over it adds up fast. Luckily the candlestick we are pairing it with was only $1.50 so it averages out.
@@JamiRayVintageI get it. Flipping is a TON of work !! Well worth the extra money that customers pay to have someone else do the work . Thank you for replying, I can tell that you have a well thought out plan. Again, love watching yall 🌷
You missed a caresh at the good will. It was complete! Baby Jesus and manger and all! There were good things there u thought for certain you didn't make it there at all today!
It's hilarious how you say some things are overpriced when your markups are so high. You buy an item for $3 and sell it for $30 without doing anything to it. You need a set markups like 500 percent, except collectables. My mother ran a business for many years and only had a 300 percent markups.
We base them off market value. As for the items that are too high they are usually items that we are going to paint and makeover. Our time is worth it. The item isn’t being sold as is. In this case the candlestick will take paint and our ability to make it over.
