Thrift with me! Today, I am finally hitting the Tri-Cities area in Washington State. For Part I of this road trip, I visit a handful of amazing thrift and vintage shops in Richland, Washington. Hi Laura! In 1988 we purchased a rustic cabin in the mountains outside Banff National Park. It had the same vintage GE Stove & Oven, a matching refrigerator & dishwasher all in pink & original to the cabin. The fridge had a turquoise interior. At first we thought we should buy new! Decided to keep them as they all worked & replaced them as needed. First replaced the fridge, then the dishwasher & are still using the oven although had to replace the element. 35 + 32 = 67 years is the ongoing life of my beautiful pink GE Oven = Amazing!! Love the idea of a pink and turquoise fridge! Much better than the Harvest Gold set we ended up with in the 1963 house we bought in Ontario. I'm really sorry the other colours didn't catch on more. Good for you for keeping them going. 💖💕

That plant stand is actually a soldering tripod for jewelry making. You place a steel mesh screen on top. Looks like many pieces were created on that one ☺️

The fabric fans are actual made to go in half moon windows as window coverings. They were very popular in the 80s.

I used to work at a Country/Victorian Gift Shop back in the 80’s and we sold tons of huge fans that just hung on the wall, or sat on a shelf. They were just for pure decoration!

Laura, I have a very similar style to yours so I’m thrilled every time I watch you thrift. Not going to lie, I’m a lot jealous of your stores ! Where I live (NY) the things you thrift are super expensive or picked up instantly. I would need to sleep in the stores every night to get an 1/8 of what you find. Yes Laura, you lost out on the fabric-fan headboard; I was thinking Selena would have liked the color, you know, draped with pearls, ha ha. But just as nice for yourself some pretty nice pieces like the inside aqua tall vase. I love that you "take me " shopping with you! Thank you Laura

You're absolutely lucky to have all those thrift stores to go to. There literally aren't any in our area (Bordeaux, France). And on top of it all, we're in lockdown, so no flea markets either. But I shop on a huge platform called vinted, where people sell everything from clothes, to jewelry and furniture and I have actually found some great deals. I did found that horse bookend, too, but sadly the lady only had one - I thought they were alabaster, though. Great to see you on your thrifting adventures, thanks for sharing 😊
