Lol! When you said you lost your belt to old age...I immediately thought you couldn’t find it. Maybe because I’m 70 so that would be the case with me. ❤️ Thanks for your great content!
Alyssa: I'm so excited because I have some new additions to my closet. Apollo: Jumps up into the closet - I'm the best addition of them all! All of us: Yes, you are! Hands down! 😃🤣🤣🤣 Ciao Alyssa! Wonderful video and pieces. Loved the red sweater on you in all its combinations. You were beaming when you were styling it. It really suits you so well. And loved how you styled it with the vintage scarf. Your videos are always great, but a sprinkle of your dancing and a cameo by Apollo take them to another level! 🥰😃🙏💖Big hugs, Natalya
Hooray for the red sweater and cognac/bronze skirt. So flattering and beautiful with your coloring. I think they'll both be heroes in your curated wardrobe.
Thank you for "preaching" the second-hand, sustainable message. Your beautiful, carefully curated pieces show we don't have to spend a lot of money to look great. Regarding my favorite of your purchases, I like them all. But if I had to choose one, I'd have to say those Banana Republic jeans look like they were tailor-made for you.
I’m digging the French girl vibe lately. Pops of red. I’ve been wearing red lipstick lately for the first time in my 47 years. Love your red sweater and scarf. The jeans are perfect!
ThredUP Yes! They're great. I've been missing fashion videos last few weeks - lost in the wonderful world of online consignment. When something over 10 yrs old looks better than the latest in retail - we may all be thrifting soon!
Wow, you did fantastic with these new pieces for your wardrobe! Everything looks great on you, they really suit your style and body and you’ll have lots of fun wearing these items. I’m so happy to see you embrace red! It’s my favourite way to pop some colour into my otherwise pretty basic wardrobe. And red is always a crowd pleaser! Enjoy wearing them and thanks for sharing and styling them for us!
Hi Alyssa - I immensely enjoyed the cognag silk slip skirt and the striped skirt. Thank you for the energy and meticulous attention to detail you always input into your video. Love from South Africa
First impression..........loved Apollo’s spontaneity to catch the spotlight!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣..........loved the jeans, red sweater and satin skirt, but loved more how you style them, great inspiration looks. You are a joy to watch and learn from, keep up the good job you do!
Morning Alyssa, All the looks where great - I love red so the red outfits were my favourite but all looks are wonderful - I just started another Pinterest board for “things I already have in my closet” for those days where nothing appeals - but I mostly approach my day as “what do I want to wear today” instead of “I have nothing to wear” - Cheers!
Every outfit was a total "win." Love the new light wash relaxed jeans and the red sweater. So versatile and yet so stand-out lovely. Your choices were clearly inspired by your Pinterest board.
LOVE the red sweater that you paired with the plaid skirt, classy without being snooty. My daughter is raising her daughters to thrift first, like she and I do. It's amazing.😍💖
OMG! I watched a video you posted a while ago about thread up with your mom and since then I got hooked! They are great! Thanks for sharing your talent, my favorite content is shop your closet. Keep them coming!
i got a ton of items from thredup 6 years ago and many items are still staples. i stopped because i didn't know my style and got a lot of pieces that i wouldn't wear or know how to use. i mostly shop used in-person although, your finds are tempting me back there. my favorites are the denim and the skirt! also love the red on you!
Love how you wore that scarf with the red sweater - styling with flair! Favorites: bronze skirt & white shirt; black bustier w/wide leg jeans; red sweater w/plaid skirt. With your coloring, I think red is a basic color for your wardrobe. What terrific bargains you found, as well they'll be wonderful additions to your wardrobe. Thanks for another great video!
Wow loved the red sweater, the wide leg high waisted jeans looked terrific all the ways you styled them. That slip skirt was by far a great find. You got quality items at great prices. Fun video to watch.
So excited for your new additions Alyssa 🥰. So thought out and considered. Absolutely loved each piece. Wish Thredup shipped to Australia 😔. That slip skirt is stunning on you. You could see the quality 😍 I have to admit I was a little distracted when Apollo jumped into your closet 😆🤣 He is such a beautiful boy. Red looks amazing on you! The belt matches your bag too, clever! Fabulous inspiration as always, thank you 😃❤🧡
Glad you finally added wide leg jeans to your wardrobe and to thrift them is a plus. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.
Alyssa I have learned so much from you . I love being creative and putting outfits together from my existing closet. You inspire me ! My favorite outfit was the cotton striped? Skirt with bulky sweater tucked in.
WoW Alyssa, amaaaazing finds! I love every single piece and outfit. For over 30 years, I always had a red piece in my wardrobe, wether a jacket, a sweater, or shoes. It just brings a umph!
I recently ventured into the red sweater territory, as well. With my work life happening on zoom for over a year, now, I got a compliment when I wore a red dress over the summer. And, I realized red is a color I've liked for my whole life. So, I looked for awhile for a red wool sweater, and found one I liked in my price range from Poshmark (it was barely used Anne Klein), and it's also Merino wool. The boatneck has been a bit of a challenge for layering (a must for me in the cooler months), but I finally found a red T-shirt with a wide enough scoop neck to wear under it. Now, that red color will take me into warmer weather with the T-shirt, too!
I adore ThredUp! I have such a beautiful wardrobe since I found ThredUp about six years ago when I retired. Best of all, my wardrobe budget has been enhanced by selling a few pieces each year via ThredUp. So glad to see you advocate the site.
The wide leg jeans you say 90s vibe BUT I was wearing them in the late 60s early 70s... also I have picture of myself at the races in the plaid skirt and red jumper from the late 60s classic styles always make a comeback .. they look so good xxx
The slip skirt 😍 That’s gorgeous! I wish we had a UK version of ThredUP... it sounds great. I’ve been building up my 2021 Pinterest board over the last week or so - thanks for the tip - and I’m looking forward to the editing stage.
Alyssa, great styling for all the thrifted pieces! I've never shopped Threadup and when I've tried I feel a bit overwhelmed. I think the key is having certain pieces in mind (shopping/wish list)..that will make it much easier. Thanks for another great video of style inspiration!
Thank you Nancy! YES - shopping with a list or specific items is key that way you can really take advantage of the filters and weed out everything that isn't within your goal. Thank you for watching! xx
Apollo grooming himself in the closet 😂 And yes, I agree that thredUP is great for finding those dream pieces affordably priced. A few months ago my goody box arrived with a hunter green, suede blouse. It was like my high school fantasy showed up 😍
I'm so glad you like them Veronica .. we have just entered into another long lockdown so i will be wearing these for my cat for the next little while haha
I love you in red! So I’m torn between the red sweater and the wide leg jeans which is a look that I wear and the red sweater and the red plaid skirt. I think I have a red plaid skirt like that in my closet. Thank you so much for doing this. For now, I’m still shopping my closet, but will consider ThredUp
Thanks for this video and all your videos. Was happy to hear the reference to Eileen Fisher. I’ve been shopping her clothing for years b/c of her commitment to circular fashion, natural fibers, and SC ethics. While I get her minimalistic vibe/silhouette is not for everyone- she does produce pieces that are timeless (blouses, tees, trenches, cardigans, slip dresses, etc). And while her brand is pricey- the pieces are affordable on EF Renew, Thredup, Poshmark, etc. I always wonder why folks promoting circular fashion don’t recognize her and the company efforts more often. With the exception of a very young vlogger also based in Canada- but I forget her name right now (😩 senior moment). She dedicated one entire episode to EF. I also recommend folks take a look at the Good on You app- helps sort through company sustainability claims when you are considering buying brand new. Once again, I’m a fan and love your content. 💕
I could only agree with you about buying second hand (thrifting) since I move to Rome in 2012, I only thrifted my clothes, shoes and handbags and it feels so good for my soul and for my wallet situation, yes I did made a mistake on my first year of thrifting, I got my self into impulsive thrifter ... but quickly I change my mind set ..only thrift when you really need it.
Me too when I first discovered thrifting. It is easy as everything is so affordable but I agree that its best to shop when you only really need it. You end up with items that you really love and will wear often! xx
"My newest thrifted finds found from thredUP..." (12:12) Sounds like a tongue - twister... with gorgeous results! :) Love the pieces you found from your Pinterest spree, Alyssa! Beautiful, as always. :) Shannon A.
The Banana Republic jeans in that boho look are awesome. We wear he same colors more or less. I've accented with red most of my life. I remember when you said you would shorten that plaid skirt which was a total success, wow! with that red sweater, it's a score. I own a plaid skirt almost identical to yours, although it's a knee length for me. I need hat red sweater! Great looks, Alyssa.
Love your finds! with your jeans and red sweater you could tie the scarf around your ponytail: even more french!!! I always hesitate to buy online as I cannot really see or feel the fabrics but I might reconsider seeing your enthousiasme about your purchases!
I think so far, you are my go to stylist so far!! You are so classy and I kind of have similar hair and face so I can picture myself looking like you!! except your body!! You are sooo classy! Also you have such great styling ideas!! Thank you 🙏🏻!!
Love every outfit. The jeans are perfect! As is the skirt......and well, everything. I too have gotten some real finds on thredup, and browse consistently. Great job Alyssa!
You are my biggest style inspiration! I adore watching your evolution and stealing ideas. And ThredUP. My favorite!! The gold slip skirt is gorgeous!! I’ve been looking for a lightweight midi skirt (like the one you wore in Italy- wow, I know your wardrobe well). Excited to watch this one piece move through the seasons.
Don’t you just love freshly thrifted clothes? I love everything you picked up. Very nice. I really love the jeans with the bustier. My fave. Just a couple of weeks before the lockdown here in Ontario, I went to good old value village and got myself a down filled winter coat for next year for sixteen dollars. It was in fantastic shape except for one tiny hole on the seam under the arm. I brought it home, washed it according to the tag instructions and sewed it on my machine. You can’t even tell there was a tear. I have no idea what that coat is worth, but perhaps I will do a google search. Thanks for this great video. Peace and love. ☮️💕
I love the wide leg denim, red sweater and scarf. The other outfit that looked super was the bronze slip skirt and the white blouse. This was a great video. Thanks.
@@AlyssaBeltempo And thanks - I just used your code to score a great deal on a Demellier bag at ThredUp that I've wanted for a long time. 😊 Much appreciated!
