HELLO! In this video I take you guys along with me thrift shopping! I went to three thrift stores trying to find items that I had pinned on my Pinterest board. As we get closer to fall I wanted to update my wardrobe but, not break the bank as well as support sustainable living. There were a few items that were quite tricky to find but I think I did alright! It was really fun to make this video and I hope you all enjoy!

You really SCORED on your cool thrifted finds! Btw, you could've gotten the sleeves shortened at the tailors inexpensively with the camel coat, and oversize coats are on trend this Fall and winter.

I bought a pair of Italian hand crafted leather boots from Buffalo Exchange almost 4 years ago. I paid $35 and I have not regretted it once. They are classic, stylish, and high quality. Worth the price and more

The coat was classic. It fits a bit large but it can be layered underneath with a denim jacket over a turtleneck. Watch Karen Britchick. She gets amazing coats.

That coat was it!!! You looked so cute in that!!! I refuse to pay $40 at a thrift store but I understand paying $30. It’s tough for me to pay over $10 for a used shoe...it has to have No wear showing at all!

That gray sweater is wonderful. I love Merino wool. I think you'll be much happier with the Timberland boots-I had a pair of Bluntstones that were the most uncomfortable things ever

I think you really got a good deal on the boots. They looked new or almost new. Those are really hard to find. I have been on the hunt for some for two years and finally got new ones, still good because I know I will get a ton of use out of them. As for the coat, had you got it you likely would always not be happy with the fit, just keep looking and you will find one. Love Patagonia stuff, what a deal!

They really are! Although Value Village has always been pricier and continuously bumping prices because they're one of the few for profit thrift stores (as opposed to charity orientated)

If you find a coat you like, you can have the sleeves shortened. It doesn't cost too much.

Enjoyed the video. Good picks, but you left some great items behind. The striped short sleeved shirt and the camel coat were amazing. Slightly too big does not mean the proportions don’t work.

Also, a wish/tips for better audio when you speak. Have you tried using a phone that's close to you for recording sound instead of the camera? I think that would improve the quality and remove some background noise.😄

The prices are still kinda high. Shop around at thrift stores near wealthy neighborhoods for quality but middle class neighborhoods for more economical buys.

Yeah I thought of that, but tailoring it would cost minimum $50 which would have meant I was spending $65 dollars on the jacket. More than I wanted to spend.

Value village pricing is hilarious. Examples are all from the same store ... worn out Calvin Klein sweater $15 vs Pristine designer trench coat (worth almost $300 new) $20. Beat up Nine West shoes $15 - $20 vs Designer Italian leather boots (unworn!! and $700 new) $20 Who prices these things??!

ritalyn b my old boss told me that they just look up a brand if it's known and then just have prices for them.....which is either okay or just insane. I work at a non profit thrift store and I'm sure there's some items I don't know....but we get high quality trench coats all the time. I honestly don't care much for Calvin Klein unless bran new or any bands that are over worn. I do specially tag really great items we get like vintage Coach, Gucci, Burberry, LV, Wilson, high quality leather items, much pricier stuff....if it's less than $50 for a shirt it can go for 3.99 idc

Hi! New subscriber here. I enjoy watching thrifting videos like this and you do a great job! (Suggestion - It would great if you and other younger RU-vidrs would refrain from using the phrases "old woman" (black hat), "granny", etc....That can really alienate a lot of us in older generations who are still stylish inspite of age. To assume a certain undesirable item is not acceptable for a younger person but would be suitable for an older person is a little insulting For example - "...it was floppy and very old woman, so obviously I didn't get it, haha" How about the terms like "frumpy'', "outdated", "weird", "unflattering", etc...terms that would not reference age? That would go a long way with the older generations who care about style just much as you that are younger. Thanks!)

Hahaha yeah, I’ve changed my music since coming out with this video. It’s just hard to find royalty free music so I think everyone uses whats available. I now use a service that provides a variety of royalty free music 😄
