I have opened exactly two whole boxes in my life, one Avacyn Reborn and one Dominaria. The first, I got jack all and lost a ton of money. The second? A foil Teferi, and a foil Lyra.
Bro, buy yourself a box and open a pack a day. At the beginning of the day or at night. It's a slow burn and is a good companion price to watching box openings.

To my knowledge, you can only get the extended art and extended art foils in the collector boosters. You can pull the full art planeswalkers though, at least the non foil versions.
I can also confirm that you can get both foil and non foil of the borderless plainswalkers. Out of all of my pulls, I got a nonfoil Oko and a foil Royal Scions out of regular booster packs.
You can only get the planeswalker full art from “draft” booster packs, foil or non. The other full art rates and mythic are only in the collector boosters along with the walkers.
Not going to lie, I pulled the extended art oko at draft yesterday. It wasn't a foil and it wasn't in the foil slot, I did open a foil trebuchet in the pack.
I know you can pull boarderless plainswalkers from the set because I pulled a non foil boaderless Oko in my pre-release kit. As for the full monty box topper cards I believe are only found in the collector boosters.
You can't get "Full Art" foil/non foil cards in standard boxes. You can however, get "Borderless" Planeswalker cards in them. The Full Art and Borderless planeswalker cards are in a different catagory. There are only 3 planewalkers in this set which is why it seems like everyone is getting oko.

You definitely can pull box toppers from normal packs. However, I think foil box toppers are exclusive to collector boosters. I pulled a box topper Oko(non foil) from a pre-release when that was happening. I didn't even know that was possible until then lol
You can't get the extended art cards in normal boosters. Those are exclusive to collector packs. You also can't get common, non-foil showcase cards. Normal packs: normal cards, showcase cards (except no non-foil commons, due to printing error), full-art planeswalkers, and foils of all of the previous types (and common showcase cards) Collector packs: everything from normal packs plus extended arts and common, non-foil showcase. Also the supplemental product cards (brawl cards, etc).
After opening about 6 boxes and being present for about another dozen, so far the ONLY extended art I've seen opened are the planeswalkers (quite common), and I havent seen a foil one opened yet but I've heard about them. Havent heard of ANY other extended cards being in boxes, but all the Showcase rares and mythics are available in boxes both in regular and foil.

Rudy I just pulled a Garruk full Monty extended box topper out of a regular pack last night. Didn’t come out of a booster box though. Came out of 1 of the 2 booster packs included with the oko deck
So for the Extended Art craparoo, it should be exclusive from the Collector's, that's what they said, and I never saw one dropping from a regular box. What you can get is the full art planeswalkers, foil or non-foil. And those are not that uncommon. In a couple drafts in LGS I saw 2-3 Oko's and 2 Garruk's full art. As for those boxes, the 1st one was terrible in the rare slot, and the second mythics were a joke, but strong rares.
As far as i now you can pull full art non foils in garruk, oko, and royal scions. I had a very nice box with a questing beast foil and a royal scions full art. Edit - there is a video on youtube with a foil full art oko pull out of a normal booster box.
I have had a foil Brazen Borrower showcase and Oko full art non foil out of the draft packs think it works out 1 every couple cases, just been super lucky as I only buy 8 packs every week or extra when I trade in cards I don’t need.
I’ve had many friends and family open several regular Throne boxes including myself and have not heard or seen anyone get a box topper . Have come across all the other variants, full art , foils , extended arts .. but no full art extended foils .. just my experience.
Extended means the borders to the left and right erased. Those only appear on collector boosters. The "extended" people are talking about are, in fact, *borderless* planeswalkers, which you can find in regular boosters, just like showcase cards. WotC just made terminology too complicated.

Rudy... Come on! Foil questing beast is about 25 dollars. And, yes you can pull a box topper in regular booster pack. Seen a full art foil Oko from a regular boost.
So as someone who just likes the artwork and shinys/ fancy cards not even how much they sell for etc....are these booster boxes worth it? Do you always get a fancy card in each packet?
Hey Rudy. If you read the odds under the flap on a pack, the tell you there are no full art, brawl, or planeswalker deck cards in a normal booster pack. There might be i god pack with full art, but probably stupid rare.
