Throttle Delay & Channel Delay of RC8X
To better show the function, I’ll reset RC8X first. The current model is MODEL_1. Enter Model select-- select model 1--reset--Are you sure to reset model 1? Confirm. All the data of model 1 is reset.
Let’s check Channel Delay function.
RC8X has 8 channels. The function is to set delay for all the 8 channels, and the delay of each channel can be set independently.
The default value is "NULL", which means no delay. You can set the delay time according to your needs. The current V1.2.5 firmware supports at most 10 seconds delay. The future firmware of RC8X will support longer delay time, such as 40, 50 seconds.
For example, I set the delay of channel 2, throttle channel to 4 seconds. That is to say it will take 4 seconds to go from the left side to the right side. For throttle channel, the forward will take 2 seconds, and the reverse will also take 2 seconds.
Then, let’s check throttle delay function.
Enter Racing menu-- throttle delay.
Before the introduction of throttle delay, we need to know that:
1.Channel Delay is to set the delay for the whole channel, while throttle delay is only to set the delay for throttle, so if you want delay for backward, reverse, you need to set channel delay. If you only want delay for forward, throttle, set throttle channel.
2.Please also pay attention that When the throttle delay is turned on, the channel delay function will be disabled.
There are three modes for throttle delay: All point, high-low point and three point.
For All point mode, A delay is set over the entire throttle range.
"NULL" means no delay.
If I set turn to 6 seconds. That is to say, it will take 6 seconds to go from 0 to full throttle. The current V1.2.5 firmware supports at most 10 seconds delay. The future firmware of RC8X will support longer delay time, such as 40, 50 seconds.
Return is to set the delay when you let go of throttle trigger. Null means no delay when you let go of trigger. If I set the delay for return, such as 5 seconds, that it to say, there is delay when you let go of the trigger. Here is return delay.
For high-low point, the whole throttle travel is divided into 2 parts, which means you can set different delay for the front part and back part of the throttle travel. LOW means the front part. High means the back part.
Point means the cut-off point of the travel, which defaults to 30. I set the point to 50.
From the values here we know, there is no delay for the low part, the first half. But there is delay for the high part, the second half part. And the settings are the same for return.
Let’s check the servo display.
Push the trigger. Throttle goes very fast in the low part, but goes slowly in the high part.
Let go of the trigger. It returns slowly in the high part, but no delay in the low part.
By the way, you can distinguish high or low part from the colors. As you can see, they are in green and red.
Three point mode is similar to high-low point. The whole throttle travel is divided into 3 parts. You can see green, yellow and red parts. You can set the delay for the three parts individually according to your needs.
