Dr. Eric Britt Moore (Britt) is an Assistant Professor of Environmental Protection at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and directs the UNCW Environmental Soil Science Laboratory with research projects focused on plant-soil interactions, soil water flux, soil carbon management, soil contaminant assessment, and environmental remediation. Britt also works extensively to promote civic empowerment through youth and adult training programs centered on science literacy, environmental awareness, environmental justice, and food autonomy. Britt's academic training includes a B.S. in Agricultural Science from Truman State University, as well as graduate degrees from Iowa State University, including an M.S. in Crop Production & Physiology, an M.S. in Sustainable Agriculture, a PhD in Sustainable Agriculture, and a PhD in Soil Science with a concentration in Soil Physics.
