My mother died when she was 82 . She cooked for us on cast iron pans all her life and all 8 of us are alive healthy and looking younger than our age. 🤨😀😀😃😄
What if you are already iron deficient? I’m anemic and I don’t take iron supplements because they tend to make me constipated, so maybe using a cast iron skillet for me is beneficial 🤔.
Five dates (the fruit) a day contain all the irons you need in a day 7 keeps you very healty Have you ever tried dates? Please try the Moroccan dates I mash them mix it with nuts (almonds and wallnuts etc) place in in a tray about one inch deep cover with shaved dried coconut and cut them in bars. One bar a day keeps the doctor away.
Btw always check your dates for bugs. When opening them to remove the stone/seed if you see little tiny dark specks within the date........throw it away those are tiny dried up bugs. The bars stay good for at least a month when properly stored
that's so helpful. I'm dealing with the same problem and I've grown to be sick of spinach (since I don't enjoy meat that much). Thank you so much for teaching me something new today. 💗 I'll try to follow your recipe
@@Miauneth that's great! Make sure to check all the dates tho. It's a delicious date and nuts bar. Treat it like your new daily snack Dates are kinda small too Except the giant medjoul dates The dates keep the bar together also. Just make sure to cover them with some dried coconut or almond powder so they don't stick together. You can saram wrap them to take with you. Promise it's gonna be your new favorite snack!!!!! Or add chocolat cocoa powder 🤷🏻♂️ Love to help people you are all most welcome. Please tell me how you liked them or with what other nuts and flavors you added (don't add sugar or candy or candied fruits tho.......it's gonna be to sweet)
@@leonlee8524 In short, when you heat up the oil in the pan at about 400F, the molecules sticktogether in long chains, and harden as a result. Forming a hard non-stick surface made of only oil that's already in your food anyway.
@@spooky_pluto1 And yet.. I can give the same one. My grandmother is currently 99, born in 1924, and she's very healthy with a mind like a steel trap. Let us deal with the sugar problem and over-procesed "food" problem before turning to blaming iron cookware. I mean, how ridiculous. If you're eating pizza for dinner and I'm grilling some fresh steak or chicken or lamb in my cast iron who's being more healthy?
Women already often have way lower iron levels than men which is y most doctors would recommend young women to not donate blood so using an iron skillet, if it were to increase the blood iron levels would actually be beneficial to most women.
Many Americans suffering from malnutrition and starvation from pandemic policies should keep their cast iron pans and avoid severe iron deficiency anemia
If they wont' let you donate when your hemoglobin is high it's because there is a risk the person has polycythemia vera a blood disorder or cancer. You friend should see a hematologist. The nurse at the blood donation center may not know why they are not allowed to take blood from someone with a high level of hemoglobin. Polycythemia vera (PV) is a blood cancer that begins in the marrow of your bones, the soft center where new blood cells grow. It causes your marrow to make too many red blood cells so your blood is too thick. You may be more likely to have clots, a stroke, or a heart attack.
If your iron levels are to high they won’t let you donate. No studies or anything. Just had a coworker of mine tell me he couldn’t donate his blood because his iron levels were to high.

Question: of you have a natural iron deficiency (like a form of anemea, I think? I'm not a medical person) does this still apply? Or would it help that deficiency?

I’m from Mediterranean stock and have inherited thalasemia minor anemia. I need more iron in my hemoglobin. Wouldn’t I benefit from continued use of my cast iron pan?

So you have too much steel in your blood better to have iron in the blood and too say iron in general ages ppl i know iron has saved ppls thyroid and nails and skin and heart palpitations and shortness of breath and fatigue and loss of hair and bought back color and stopped them from being abnormally cold and pale im very very very shocked at your generalization concerning iron there are ppl who have issues with iron and need medicine and to avoid as much iron as they can these ppl may need to not cook with cast iron pan these ppl have issues with iron i can't believe the doctor is so negligent in this in fact iron along with magnesium and a few other nutrients are known to be deficient in most of the population suppose someone deficient in iron listens to you many ppl have a close to life and death situation with lack of iron some need a shot of EPO because of a severe lack of iron these ppl need to cook in a cast iron pan
No, they leach too, research them and you'll see the seasoning on iron pans is what we ingest, not the iron. This man is a celebrity and abuses his license, he's here causing drama with his nonsense. He puts too much money in his.clothea to be taken seriously as a doctor.
All the vegetables you eat today aren't natural there man made gmo they never existed in nature and they destroy you're body with mucus. Keto best all day everyday grass fed beef and wild fish and good raw goats/cows milk / butter / cheese 🥩🥚🧀🐠🥛
Teflon or non-stick pans lowers testosterone so i will continue to use my cast iron pan with my tallow or ghee or grass-fed/finished butter to cook my steaks and add some salt and veggies for flavour
