lady...you are sure right...Mother could spot FLESH a mile away...and she had NO problem correcting you....other times she was sweet and mild, but when it came to the things of God, and that MUSIC--mother didn't play....it was holiness or hell. HOW did we lose that standard...Look at all her vids--nobody half naked, shaking and wiggling, out of order...the music, the life, musicians were ALL exemplary. She taught me how to direct a choir for REAL...I sure do miss her....thanks for posting!!!
I remembered in an interview Jackie said she was a perfectionist. I've always felt that the word 'perfectionist' is overrated. Some people just have integrity and class about what they do in their profession and in everyday life.Its like when you serve a meal to someone, you wouldn't want to serve something you wouldn't eat yourself, that's how Mattie was. She had integrity about everything she did and she refused to let herself and anyone around her make God ashamed.Those that sung in her-

Many don't know that Dr MM Clark was also a Licensed Miss'y in COGIC...she definitely had the 'preach' in her as we hear right here and the OLD SCHOOL Holiness powered by the ANOINTING...if you stayed prayed up and anointed you could work and sing with Dr Clark..oh but if not SHE could spot you a mile away!! I also agree that Dorinda inherited her Mother's 'preach' when she is Flowing in the Holy Ghost that girl is a POWERHOUSE Speaker!!
choir that had a real desire and a passion for Christ understood where she was coming from and whatever critique's she gave to them no matter how strong those critique's were they embrace them to make themselves more like Christ. If you wanted to live a double life and thought you were going to sing in her choir you were corrected in front of hundreds and if you took offense to it and quit the choir that just meant you were wasting God's time and hers and Mama wasn't having it.
Actually, Dorinda's debut CD was recorded at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in Lithonia, GA (Bishop Eddie L. Long, Senior Pastor). Incidentally, her CD was recorded the night before the Stellar Awards that year.
Dorindas album was recorded at bailey cathedral in 2001. The recording at New Birth was for the DVD, that's why she only did 6, and 1 song wasnt from the album. Theres a video from the original live recording on here of her singing "I'm Still Here".

originaldna.... I would advise you to watch your mouth. There are still people who live and lived in and under the protection of God Almighty. You should know, if you read your Bible, not to say disrespectful crap against the Anointed people of God. I pray you don't say nothing else about Dr. Clark. Don't stereotype every christian. The bible says "touch not my anointed" that means things you say out of your mouth. Be cool.... you'll live longer.
