I'm just gonna add, the music video of haru haru is about a girl who's diagnosed with cancer and she asked TOP if they could pretend to be lovers so that GD could forget about her and move on as she would die anyway. All of the boys knew these things given that they are in the hospital room with the girl. But in the end, they told GD the truth that's why GD is running as hell towards the hospital. Hope these helps my comrade
Hi, im a VIP first, haruharu is a classic and you pronounced it correctly, and lmao yes top hasnt aged, hes the visual of all visuals. Haru haru gd here is still so fresh from debut and already writing songs for the group in an industry where entertainment companies dont usually let them. But gd was a genius from the start. This song help defined kpop. Gd is a king. Bigbang is amazing where all 5 members are successful in their individual careers too.
Basically the story is that GD’s girlfriend knew she had cancer and was dying so she wanted GD to hate her so he can move on easily after her death, so she made a deal with TOP ( GD best friend) to show GD that they were dating. The first scene where she handed GD ring back to TOP and told him to return it back to him. The scene in the hospital, TOP told GD that he was sorry they lied to him and that she loved him thats why she did this.
you need to watch "Haru Haru" live ver from Tokyo Dome X Tour 2014~2015 - you won't regret, is one of the best live ever. (then watch "Tell me Goodbye" from this same tour too. it's awesome)
If i were to suggest you on what BIGBANG song you should react, it's basically their entire discography lol because they are THAT GOOD. But here is my personal favorite: - Love Song - Bad Boy - Number 1 - Tell Me Goodbye - ENTIRE MADE ALBUM Side B tracks (watch the live performance): - Cafe - Still Alive - Feeling
topxnajwa aah im feeling old remembering that STILL ALIVE was just intro for the album and its just 1 minute long but VIP loves the song and want it to have a longer version and BB released it on STILL ALIVE SPECIAL EP ALBUM
I rarely comment on videos but as a long time VIP and Koop lover, I really appreciate you studying up and appreciating groups that paved the way for what Koop is today. Lots of new reactors just get caught up in the wave because it’s popular but they fail to try and understand the journey and grasp the variety in the genre. I appreciate it when someone can be brought into the fandom and enjoy not just what brings in views and popularity but truly enjoy it for the music of it all.
Shinhwa is another older group. Too may good songs. Thier song Perect man is covered by other idols a lot on stage. Big bang and 2ne1 did a song together called lollipop. Little cute, little cringy, but catchy. I get it stuck in my head.
Dewey Baker - If Lollipop got stuck in your head, that's why it was written. I don't think most people realize that Lollipop was actually a commercial (CF) for a flip phone called the Lollipop. It definitely went against Big Bang's image (and 2Ne1 hadn't debuted yet - since it was a CF it got no radio airplay)
Shinhwa's Brand New, Run, Sniper, and Touch are my recommendations! They're having their 20th anniversary this year, and still active--can't miss the legends ;)
Haru Haru is one of my favorite songs! You should check out BigBang's Monster and Sober and Daesung and GD Wings. I love me some Daesung! Boy's got a voice on him! All of GD's solo stuff is swag as well.
This song was released in 2008 ( it broke the korean charts for couple weeks and got the song of the year award) and the concert version of this song is even better bro , you should watch their Japan dome tour 'x' version of Haru Haru its groovy! And yeah also GD TOP are the first legit acknowledged rappers of idol rappers ,nowadays kpop boygroup rappers are modeled from them.
no joke tho, BIGBANG concerts have a better celeb turn out that some award shows XD I think their 10th anniversary Seoul concerts clocked in over 50 korean celebs, and quite a few japanese, chinese (ect) celebs flew in. I recall one celeb said on radio that he was looking for tickets (60k sold out in like 5min) and had even called YG offices.
Bigbang is an 11 yo group with hits like : bang bang bang, fantastic baby, Blue, fxxk it, loser, bae bae, sober, and much more Bigbang are labeled as 'the kings of kpop' and 'the nations boy band', they are the best selling boyband in history - with over 140m albums sold. They have changed the kpop industry- from the way it sounds, to how it's made and sold to the overall fandom kpop culture, you can see bigbang influence and tuch in all current kpop groups and songs. They are probably the only group who all members have a successful solo career.
BIGBANG KINGS 😩😩 Each of them have a very distinctive voice that is different from each other but fit perfectly together. Their stage presence and charisma on stage is unmatched. They give you vocals, charisma, stage presence, and pure entertainment. They are an iconic group that has had a huge impact musically and culturally. They are highly respected in the industry because of all that and because of how much they changed it. They are the reasons why many groups write their own music now because Bigbang did it and the success they had. Before agencies really controlled the music put out, it was usually songs given until bigbang popularized taking control of their image and putting out their own self written music. They are at the forefront of everything from the studio to the stage. They are much more things they have done to impact the industry in South Korea. They were one of the first to really bring Kpop to the West as well, being the first Korean boy group to chart on Billboard period. They are very much considered the nations group. Collectively and as individuals they have tapped into not only the music industry but in art, the fashion industry, TV, cinema, theater, and business. They have worked with many genres of music. They are all successful in their own rights. They did all this coming from a small agency, back then YG was not what it is today. They basically made YG as big as it is now (also with contribution of 2NE1), and since you’ve had more groups come out of smaller agencies and succeed more. Way back then the industry was very monopolized by SM and with groups that had what they considered “visuals”. Fun fact: you know the kpop light sticks fans wave for each group? Well they were the first to have their own official light stick and then the whole of kpop followed through till it became a stamp. First (maybe only) Korean group to rank in the U.S Forbes Celebrity 100 list (list of the top earners in the world). I could go on and on, honestly they have impacted a lot.
i remember the haru-haru fever in my school even for the non kpop fans. everyone wanted to learn how to play the piano part at the beginning of the song. memories.
Fiona Moolla So true. All their songs are gold but those 3 tracks are the foundation of their legacy 👑 Lollipop is such a great bop that introduced another legend. Forever Queens ♠️
You should listen to Lie. Its the first song that really blew up Big Bang. And the mini group stuff like Good Boy by GD and Taeyang and the stuff by GD and TOP too I think you'd really like Also you NEED to react to Lee Hyori for a throwback thursday She is the QUEEN of early 2000's kpop Songs; U-Go-Girl, 10 Minutes, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
Daesung's voice is GOLD !!!!! ONE OF THE KIND !!! my first and last best male kpop vocalist. thank you so much for you appreciation, since many ppl haven't done it. :((
YASSS!!! Probably my favorite song from Big Bang! This MV made me cry the first time I watched it. They do an acoustic version of this live in concert and it is AMAZING! I LOVE your Throwback Thursdays! Keep 'em coming! :)
This album is not their debut album. They debuted in 2006 with old school R&B Western-influenced songs that did not click well with K-public. This album, however, is mostly co-written, co-composed and co-produced by GD and Bigbang members, which made them blow up. Before them, self-made songs were not a thing for Kpop groups. They are also known for personally being involved in their stages, concerts. Most of all, they are known for giving the best LIVE performances. Fun fact: Bigbang and choreo have a chaotic relationship.
Big Bang’s “Lies” is a must. It’s the song that got them known and blew them up into superstars back in 2007 and pretty much acted as a catalyst to hype up and eventually destroy the charts with “Haru Haru” about a year after.
VIXX bruh. They've got some great ones - Error, Shangri-La, Chained Up, Voodoo Doll... But yessss Big Bang, please do more of them because I've been meaning to check out more of their stuff myself lol, I only know the bangers like Fantastic Baby, Bang Bang Bang, Good Boy, and I know their live performances are HELLA lit. I see some people asking for reactions to their lives which would be awesome but be careful about it because not many reactors do live performances and I think it might be because it's bait for copyright strikes so check it out before you do. Would be awesome if you did though! Check out MFBTY though! (1) Sweet Dream (2) Bang Diggy Bang Bang (3) Buckubucku! Or Black Happiness... or Angel... or The Cure...
React to G-Dragon - That XX (it's a similar song to this one, except Jennie from Blackpink is in the video) Taeyang (who is Bigbang's main dancer, the guy with the crown in this video - he got married a few days ago!) - Wedding Dress. The song is such a classic, you have to listen to it! He is Korean Chris Brown. Bigbang - Beautiful Hangover, Tonight, Bad Boy, Blue, Monster. And one of the best duos in kpop history, GD and T.O.P - Zutter. The MV is a little bit dangerous but the song is so catchy.
lovin your throwback thursday! for a kpop newbie out there, it pays to listen to these old kpop songs from all these legendary groups. HaruHaru is actually the song that marked Bigbang as a true artist and not only as an idol group in all of kpop history. This song remains a classic to me.
Yasss. I love that you appreciate BigBang. They have such a wide and long discography, not including solos/sub units of the members. So excited to see you learn about them! If you liked their vocals, I highly recommend watching some of their live performances to be blown away. “Tell me goodbye” and “lies” from japan dome x 2014 is unreal!
honestly, BIGBANG's wiki page is pretty accurate and abridged. Also note: BIGBANG is successful as a group, and EVERY member has a successful SOLO career (Daesung solo songs will melt your heart with his vocals or his trot songs will make you giggle a little) and two subunits: rappers GDxTOP and GDxTaeyang. Their songs are in Korean and Japanese. Seungri recently released a chinese song ost for the chinese movie he starred in. And GD made wrote, composed and produced Haru Haru.
I... cried. This was one of the first K-pop songs I listened to, and despite the gap, it had me in tears. And it can still make me cry today. Epic song. Check out Big Bang - Lies, too! That's another of their older epics. They all have solo stuff, too: Taeyang's I Need a Girl, Wedding Dress, Eyes, Nose, Lips GD's Heartbreaker, Coup d'Etat, MichiGO, Crayon GD and TOP's High High Seungri's VVIP Daesung mostly promoted as a solo artist in Japan, so his album is Japanese under his Jap stage name, D-LITE
I don't normally like watching Kpop reviews especially since there's recently been an influx of people who just watch it to get views and do half-assed, ignorant reactions but I somehow stumbled upon your channel and I've really enjoyed your videos!! It seems like you actually care about the music and the videos and you make an effort to actually understand the artists and Korean culture, which I really appreciate! Thanks for being so genuine and fun!
Bigbang members all have their own solo songs which you should check out as well if you want to understand them better. I love that you want to learn more about them! Gd and TOP have also done songs together that I think you’d love. TOP: doom dada, turn it up G-Dragon: crayon, crooked, coup d’etat, michigo GD and TOP: Zutter, high high, baby goodnight - these are mvs you should react to if any!!! GD and Taeyang: Good boy Taeyang: ringa linga, Wedding dress, wake me up, Seungri: what can I do, gotta talk to you Daesung: Wings ( no mv but such a Great song!!) Baby don’t cry Daesung is more popular in Japan and has many mvs with Japanese songs but not many in Korean. I don’t expect you to react to all of these of course but they might help to understand them better! :) Love your reactions! I watched 10 of them today. Other artists from the same company as Big Bang are 2ne1, Winner, Ikon and Akdong Musicians, 1tyme, Jinusean, Epik high, blackpink, Lee Hi and Psy. They often feature on each other’s albums and sing covers of each other’s songs. Hope this helps!
I'm glad that you like it. You should listen to the live version of Haru Haru tho. It's way more emotional (at least for me) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eKjym8GyBIk.html
Haru Haru was released in 2008. Big Bang debuted in 2006. H.O.T., Sechs Kies, and Shinhwa were the ruling boy groups when Big Bang and NSYNC were popular.
i love how you were bopping and bopping and then we see you realize what the video is about and you get all depressed haha. damn these rxn videos are addicting hahaha - gives you that high like when you sit your BFF to watch your fav tv show and watch their every emotion and get so excited when they love it...ya kno
aye fam im an American too and I just gotta say, if you liked this song and you want real CLASSIC, peak K-POP when it first started really popping in western countries and you liked this song, you gotta listen to Taeyang - Wedding Dress. That song and this song are the two iconic k-pop songs of that generation. Taeyangs in Big Bang (he the one with the Mohawk on the phone)
I am so glad you reacted to more of BigBangs stuff! They are my kings! They are the reason I got into Koop! Check out monster and bad boy, Taeyang's wedding dress, if you (I love the live version) and if you want to check out the video that got me into kpop(and 2ne1 and big bang) check out lollipop. I know I am missing a lot more but I'm headed to work and don't have too long! VIP forever!!
And then this remake ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HRs_B_O2ZbU.html ... Man so much to share.. And I h a vent made it to my queens 2ne1 yet! But have fun exploring ! So much good stuff to get into!!
Aaand here I go on another binge of your videos :) I like that you appreciate so many different aspects of these videos such as vocal, dance, plot, videography, and composition
This is why I am so thankful of discovering Kdramas when I was in elementary school, my brothers used to laughed at me for watching with no subs and at times the air antenna gave me just ghosts, but that addiction gave way to Kpop and from there I discovered Rain and SES and all of those wonderful groups like FT Island, clazziquai, brown eyed girls, big Bang etc... even my Korean got so much better... But these songs are just gems to me.
I've been watching your reactions for a while but finally subscribed because of this reaction. Really appreciate the throw backs and specially since it's Big Bang. They are the Kings for a reason. Thank you!
I've been waiting for some B to the I to the G! Big bang. Taeyang is the reason I started listening to k-pop. Now I'll be waiting for some Show Me The Money!!
Yes bigbang and 2ne1 old mvs and live performances both under yg these groups are known for slaying charts and their live performances, even their solos or sub units
You are awesome! Yes 😎 Did you hear Daesung ? Lol yesssssss. But yeah BigBang, 2ne1, GG(aka SNSD), F(x), Shinee, Super Junior, Wondergirls, T-ara, KARA, Sistar, Miss A, 4Minute and moreeeee lol
Could you please react to vixx please they’re really great and definitely deserve more attention. Id say only u, voodoo doll, eternity, error, chained up, fanstasy are great videos to start with but mainly the masterpiece that is shangri la and the mbc gayo daejun performance of the song. That performance gave me chills and they got a standing ovation from other artists like bts and red velvet.
I love this video, so so much that it got me into BIGBANG. I thank you so much for your throw back Thursday because I think it's a fantastic way of featuring kpops pioneers to those that just got into kpop and follow you. Thank you again.
This had me in my VIP feelings. I remember back in the day I had to listen to this song everyday or my day did not go right. I still love Big Bang so much. Yes, Big Bang has 3 power vocals in the group Daesung, Seungri, and Taeyang. They all had distinct vocals they sung great within their range. They had two bom ass rappers GD & TOP that set the standard for kpop idol rappers and made companies up they game in finding good rappers to fit into kpop groups. They have done so much to rise the quality standard of kpop and so have other groups and I'm not going to take away from their hard work also. But Big Bang made some major impacts on the kpop industry. Look and don't sleep on Taeyang I'm telling you.... And you thought Dean and Jay Park was great.... Smh
You don't have to turn on auto-captions when there aren't actual English subtitles in the video. Auto captions are literally google translate and the translation doesn't make sense.
I so love how you critique the songs! From visual to music videos!!! ❤️❤️❤️ evey little thing that I didn’t notice, you noticed it. And I’m so thankful for that! 🙏
now everyone knows, if you become GD's girlfriend on an MV, you'll get famous. Haru Haru = Park Min Young That XX = Jennie Lets not fall in love = Seo Ye Ji
I lived in SoKorea from 2009 and this song and other songs of theirs around this time just bring me back to that happy time- so listening to this throwback with your reaction was super fun! Here’s the songs I remember from around that time that I liked- check em out! Big Bang- Lies / Sunset Glow 2ne1 - Fire / Please don’t go Wheesung- Insomnia DBSK - Mirotic Lee Hyori- U Go Girl Girls Gen- Gee/ Genie
Lies is the song that made BIGBANG huge in Korea! I suggest looking at that MV. They were really struggling and coming out with songs almost every month. They were about to give up but they came out with that song and became who they are now. I think you'd also like T.O.P- Act like nothings wrong performance. It's based on an older ex-girlfriend he had to break up with.
