It's weird that it took this long for them to get to this point with the Mk2. I offered to write them a custom map for that ECU with all the above features a long time ago when the Mk2 was first introduced but then they got the new wiring harness and ECU and I figured they were all good to go.
Same. jimmy I've been watching you since I picked up my 240 4 years ago after my mk4 1.8t jetta auto trans bit the dust and it's been sitting in the driveway since. I've been waiting to manual swap it but I havent collected any parts yet. we demand more vw content we need more knowledge
I love 1.8Ts they're such cheap and easy power. 3 of my cars are 1.8Ts.. The old ones especially can handle a silly amount of power with just a set of forged rods.

A K03-052 will never make 250hp without some WG mods and some WMI or Ethanol. 215hp to 225hp is the upper limit on a stock K03s without any fuel additives.
I have to say this was a breath of fresh air and seeing Brian's grin from ear to ear brings back memories of a time when you all were just having fun with no time crunches to get a job done. The tune really seems like a eurocustoms stage 2 tune it has the 2 step it has no lift shift and it should run stable 20 psi b-hall’s diverter valve may be a little leaky it should hold it till redline
Hit the car with steelit it’s a weldable primer. You clean and blast your surface then clean one more time and then spray the steelit and dry then apply your normal primer. It will seal your steelwork and protect from further rust.

Haven't touched one in a few years but this brings back so many memories of my friend Scott and me building his yellow 92 GTI 16v. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2015 making these videos hit me a bit different. I love your videos Jimbo. Keep up the great work and always cherish your friends. Brian I had a vw bora aum 1.8t with audi tt 315cc injectors, n249 delete, saip delete, oil catch can, brake booster mod, arp fuel pump, r8 coil packs from ecs, 2.5" intercooler and pipe work, decat 2.5" stainless non resonate centre, custom silencer exhaust, vr6 mk3 golf maf, ram Air induction kit, turbo smart bov, replaced all the coolant plastic connectors will aluminium upgrades, ko3s hybrid with 360 race bearings all stock engine internals, and that ran 285 bhp for 4 years with a roof rack and tow bar tuned by devil developments in the UK she was a quick little sleeper, so that mk2 will be heaps of fun,
