Officers deal with suspects the moment they get out of the police car and the moment they leave jail. Not all suspects are cooperative, and officers have to handle a range of disorderly and drunk suspects, and place them in isolation cells.
Jail is an American documentary reality television series that follows suspects in custody from booking through to incarceration. The show documents events in different jails across the U.S. Jail is the sister show to Cops, a show that follows police officers on patrol.

I had a parking ticket that was never mailed to me or had on my car and yes they treat everyone the same but if you keep mouth closed and act like a human being , they will get you out in 4 hours and like me never had a ticket since in 40yrs you don’t have to deal with them

Yes - that felt like a real moment, not just reality tv moment. I really like how he talked about changing the mindset of what hardship is - or basically, gratitude for what we do have. The young guy was right too when he said it was greed on his part.

Deputy Karl Somppi is the best in Sarasota, Florida. He is able to deal with the people who are so drunk and/or under the influence of something without losing his professional demeanor. You can tell he was in the Marines. Thank you for being the best at what you do with all the things people in that condition put you through. Keep up the good work and keep safe. I know these are old reruns but I always enjoy watching all the shows he’s in.

This is also true in a huge number of states - if not all of them. There is even discussion about "prisons as the new asylums" which isn't 100% the full reality of the situation, but certain aspects of the claim are certainly legitimate.

Every profession has good and bad actors. It’s nice to see professional law enforcement officers. There are many auditors who show the other side. Some will say that it is the camera making these law enforcement officers be professional, but watch some auditors with cameras encounter ignorance in uniform. I applaud and appreciate these officers.

How do the officers still not get it? To a homeless transient that’s probably the best sleep he’s had since his last arrest bc he knows alone in the room he’s safe, and safety isn’t something he knows on a regular basis or trusts. 30 days in jail where he’s guaranteed a bed and food is a vacation for him.

@@taras6806 Basically it's just been a slow creep across the nation to make it criminal to be unhoused. Things like restrooms for customers only, I understand, but at this point, if you pitch a tent with some possessions, you'll likely lose them in a "sweep". Read comments under articles and the lack of compassion and empathy for the homeless is staggering. I've only just avoided it, being on SSDI due to the complete lack of low income/disabled housing, and it's only a matter of one more rent hike for me.

Had a fantastic job, but when you get too disabled to work, they have you use up any savings before you can access the disability insurance you paid into. Miss home, but I can't afford the basics, so I'm doing the whole "experience is what you get when you don't get what you want" thing. Cheers!
