Yeah okay the manueverability alone compared to other jets and notably compared to the F35 is amazing! Definitely an instant buy for me. Great work from Top Mach studios here
Looks stunning, perhaps everything Id want in an F-22 on the sim. Thanks for the coverage, I’ll be looking forward to any future videos and the eventual release of the model.
👀👀🔥🔥😭😭😭Omg she is gorgeous man. Been waiting a long time for this to release on Xbox and been keeping up with the website. They haven’t updated their website since May and the release window was literally around this time of month. I was expecting it to at least be released on PC marketplace by now. They did state clearly that they are aiming to release this to PC & Xbox all together even tho Xbox May have to wait a few weeks longer!
Looks amazing and flies amazing hopefully they add raptor engine sounds in the finished product right now it sounds like the super hornet sounds are being used. But that's minute, can't wait till wasm gets fixed so I can fly this on my Xbox.
Great camerawork there (and flying, of course), Chris. Your composition has really come along. That looks like a great module. I particularly love the dynamic internal canopy reflections as you pirouette around.
Thanks! Very kind 👍🏻 Hope you’ve seen the cinematic air display I did in the Hawk. That was more camera work than flying! 😂 It’ll be a fun addon for sure!
Looking forward to this! Top Mach worked with us on building our flight model for our private/proprietary FS Thunderbirds F-16, and it flies much nicer than other (DC designs, etc) front line fighters. This isn't DCS level stuff (Hawk is about the closest to that level), but should be a lot of fun to fly in this sim. I do think this could use some texturing/detail on the exterior and in cockpit. Doesn't have to be DCS f-14 cockpit texture level (which is pretty much a benchmark), but some wear, and a bit of texture on buttons, console frame would make it really nice. I'm sure some livery makers will do some that make the exterior "pop" a bit more.
Thanks for a great preview vid!! I am definitely looking forward to adding it to the hanger. I hope they work on more vapor effects. Some of those hard pulls look way more impressive when the planes pulling vapor. Is there is something the F22 does well....it's pull vapor!!!
I should have taken more notice of this video before I flew it. I took off at Oshkosh on the first flight, went vertical, pulled it around the top of the loop at 3000ft and pancaked into the ground. Every day's a school day! 🙃
I'm just gonna fall right in line with everyone else on this one: abso-freaking-lutely stunning! CANNOT WAIT for this to come out on Xbox. I'll eventually be building a proper PC/VR rig, but for now Xbox X is scratching my itch. Thanks for sharing this vid!!
I am hoping that at some stage,Asobo brings back my two best camera views from FSX.Namely, flyby and tower views. Its great to be able to buzz the tower (busted) and play it back from the tower viewpoint.Flyby is a good lazy way to watch a flight and landing and my pathetic attempts at aerobatics.Come on Asobo gimme, gimme,GIMME!!
Great preview! My only concern is the cockpit textures at this point. They have that FSX look to them which I just can’t accept in MSFS. The Hawk is the bar I’m looking at each time I consider one of these jets. Otherwise very interested.
for closest way to flat spin, in msfs anyway, most of aircraft, witch can do this, use opposite of spin direction ailerons, it's make spin more flat lol. and some of them need about 10k alt for recovery from that:)
Nice little flight 👍🏻 Noticed the Flight Path Marker having a little dance to itself on approach, though it is Beta so hopefully just a wip! Really appreciate your vids, as always. Thank you 😊 Now its back to begging the wifey for more space in the house so I can branch out with the pit. Looking to get a Yoke, throttle and flight switches setup to go alongside the Warthog, however wifey is against it at the mo 🥺 Still, i suppose that gives me time to save more pennies for a decent Yoke. She'll crack eventually. There's always something else she wants 😉
MSFS is particularly unforgiving to coding HUDs apparently! My sim pit is setup in the closet! A half sized desk with nestable tables (side consoles) for the peripherals. I’m the end, it’s easier to ask forgiveness than for permission…. just saying! 😂
@@cgaviator Thats funny, cause my "pit" is a nest of tables as well 😆 Stick and keyboard on the main, throttle on middle and mouse on small (it's raised up on top of 2 biscuit tins taped together). Monitor and other things are on the phone table 😝
When I watched this video, I was like "cool. Just downloaded this and now I know what I have. Let's go!" But when I loaded it, it looked nothing like this. Then I realized that it's not the same thing. I have the Bredok3D version. lol Not even in the same hemisphere as far as a true model of the F22. I was so bummed out. But I know now to look before buying. Hell, it was only like $20 or something, so I have something. Not in this league though. Nice video, liked and subbed
I'd have to assume that the reasoning to add power during landing is to say bring it down gently as possible or you'll rip off a landing gear cover panel.
Hi, really enjoyed your video. Is there any chance you could do a video on the autopilot on this please ? I must confess I can't make head or tail of it. All the best.
Very Nice. However, how will the F-22 be landed in real bad weather Visibility 500 meter, cloud base 100 feet for example. ILS? RNAV? This would be typical weather if stationed in the UK.
If you want variety and advanced fighter then F35 is very good. This F22 will give it a run for its money though the systems seem more basic. The G91 and F104 being classics are actually better suited to the sim as they aren’t advanced, the systems are basic, and they look amazing! F15 by DC Designs just got updated and you get 3 variants. I don’t think there is a top fighter, just the ones you’re most interested in!
@@cgaviator based on your flying experience, do you think the sim is getting better ? Do you think the F22 is behaving somewhat accurately? I understand is a classified craft, but I am wondering if it will give us a rough understanding of how it behaves in real life. Also, awesome channel. You got another subscriber and thanks for the reply.
@@d1d1ka29 thank you, subs always massively appreciated! I’m not sure if it’s the sim or the developers finding ways to work around it! I’ve not kept up with the various sim updates but I do know they keep updating physics. But they’re seriously behind in the military fighter area. Generally, yes, it’s getting better but a looong way to go!
@@d1d1ka29 and ‘somewhat’ is the word. They’ve done a good job overall, and you’ll certainly get an idea of what the F22 can do. Best way is to watch real display videos and try to replicate it. The wings over the web F22 demo followed the actual display sequence of the real display.
Really cool, nice vid Would you say combined advances in radar, weapon and stealth tech have made super manoeuvrability with thurst vectoring somewhat obsolete?
Great question! If you’re competing against need-peer adversaries you need to be able to perform BVR (beyond visual range) and at the merge. If your enemy knows it’s up against F22s, they would be a lot more hesitant to get close. And sometimes the missions calls for VID (visual identification) which forces a close encounter. The latter being less likely given the amount of sensor information the F22 has.
So the thrust vecotring is actually simulated, not emulated in MSFS? Like, the thrusters are really pointing down? If so, neat!! I need to be able to change flight modes. How do I do that?
They’ve done some flight dynamic coding wizardry to work around the limitations of the simulator. If you have bought the payware it’ll be active by default. I wouldn’t change to no-FBW or you’ll have an F22 that flies more like an unstable Cessna! But the switch is lower left side. Check manual or developer discord for details

Cg I take the occasion to ask help to you about a thing that happens to me while flying the f22.. Basically when I FULL PULL the stick backwards and I get those G's in the airplane starts to "bounce" like if it couldn't hold the pull and wants to get back to normal, don't know if you understood but I'm pretty sure you did. Like if it becomes "stuttery" and bouncy, strange feeling to it.
Sure, what speed were you doing this? The developers were having issues coding around the g induced buffet that’s programmed for most aircraft so you may experience this buffering, particularly if pulling at higher speeds.
@@cgaviator i think i was full afterburner so 700+ knots for sure, don't remember now but was fast. At low speed instead everything was fine if i remember right. For sure day by day they gonna collect feedbacks and gonna improve with next updates up to come 😊👍🏻
@@blackfalco33 so anything above 480kt and you’ll not have particularly effective thrust vectoring. While the FBW system in the real aircraft will limit the G you can pull and you probably won’t feel buffet, this is an aspect that they’re yet to solve.
Nice video. I've been looking forward to a a decent F22 with a thrust vectoring implementation in MSFS. This is shaping up nicely. Looking forward to dominating the 4th gen fighters with this raptor.
@@cgaviator Apparently not if I'm at (what did you say) 4000 Radar Alt for recovery. LOL! OMG, It's like you've flown with me before! You're not going to let me live those couple of wing drops down are you? But, ya, ok, let's go. Gauntlet thrown. You, me, SCD F16s over Tokyo, then we'll see... Hahaha Love it! Take care!
Odd aircraft for this sim. One of the key features of the F-22 is the ability to super cruise: that is, fly over mach 1 without afterburner but from what I've heard MSFS doesn't really model super sonic flight well / at all. Also, the F-22 does not sound like that. They have quite loud engines (sound isn't really an element of air combat stealth).
Purpose of this aircraft is to thrust vectoring, it’s the USP. The sim does Mach now just fine, it was a limiting factor early on. And you can always turn your engine volume up! 😉
@@cgaviator I got a Tobi Eyetracker works really well, beats using a mouse or keyboard to change views. Works well with the standard Airbus. Sadly with the Hawk, it leaves the view with effectively the ejection seat straps party over the pilots eyes.
@@cgaviator Have tried fiddling around with the settings, not had time to try all variations yet, so it might eventually work. But if it does eventually work, its a good add on for low level flying.
Anything less than 450-480kt and you should notice it. No activation needed but you need to have the FBW (fly by wire) enabled. This is done by default, switch lower left. Check their manual for info. Also check it’s not a flight model setting issue in the main menu.
@@cgaviator I know you said FBW switch is in the left side I can’t find it I just wanna say I am new to flight sim and my cockpit doesn’t look anything like yours I understand this could be due to yours being in beta but mine just looks really plain
Texturing can be improved . Both internally and externally. I feel like developers need to actually study the skin of these stealth aircraft. Their just missing the mark a lot in my book in regards to the textures of the skin.
If you zoom close enough to most models and compare directly you’ll see inaccuracies. Some of the screenshots I’ve seen of this have almost been photo real. I do agree, textures can be improved, but during normal operation it’s barely noticeable.
@@N-L3 Center screen there’s an option lower middle button. You can make them disappear or if you also select cfg I think it is, you can set them permanently off
Falling Leaf, not flat spin. The afterburner flame is vectoring and not the nozzles on the exhausts. Internal weapons for show. Looks great though. Ahh..MSFS. hmm
Tough one that! The typhoon is very good with the real sounds and still has serious high alpha moves. But then the F22 can do the falling leaf manoeuvre. Personal preference really but the Typhoon has it for me.
@@cgaviator Hi ! I have all the flight aids disabled, I have tried many different speeds, with the flaps without the flaps, it's really not the same plane! even with the mass on the back no cobra 😭merci
@@KC4J.Aviation I can’t confirm I’m afraid. They have a discord you can check. I know there were issues with compatibility (like with many other models)
Enable Developer mode then the option appears in the in-game menu. If it doesn’t, there may be a drop down option from the dev mode toolbar to make it display.
I wish I had a pc so bad, I got the Xbox f22 but it was very half assed and its performance was awful in general. The cockpit wasn’t even similar to the real f22 cockpit.
looks like its on rails...I wish ASOBO would give more reins to the 3rd party people..I mean ASOBO wont be implementing this stuff anytime soon, they just want GA aircraft.
Thank God this is coming to Xbox, because Bredok3D's version is dogshit, and I haven't even bought it. 😆 Should just change his name to "borked", because that's all his products are.
