I did some research on this and the load cell he uses is not cheap. You can't really compare this to a kit that uses a $10-20 load cell because the part he uses costs $60 by itself. Throw in the cost of machining the plate and having it tapped, the little parts like the bushings and spring and the thru adapter and the fact that he probably wants to make a few dollars on it (and it's probably not a real high quantity he's selling) and the cost escalates pretty quick. I think that it's a bit higher than it needs to be, but it's not as ridiculous as it seemed at first glance. I mean the guy has some overhead cost for the website and whatever facility he has....running a small, specialized business is not a cheap endeavor.

I got the T3PA-Pro's for $90 on Amazon last December and the Ricmotech brake load cell (based on this review) and throttle/clutch springs for $198. Less than $300 for everything and I love it!!! Use it with a T150 wheel which is good enough for me. The pedals made a huge difference in my lap times.

So would you say this feels more realistic then the standard chronicle brake mod? All I'm concerned about is realism, like compared to a real car. Also this can be installed in inverted pedals right?

Yeah the angle you push the brake on my rig with the pedals inverted or not, it really hurt my knee. Would be real hard to push with my feet, but it looks really cool. I do love Ricmotech. I just bought a short shift adaptor for my TH8A. Finally got tired of the synchro shift and really like the H pattern, just a bit long throw. My truck has a longer throw, but it is a 4x4 truck... :)

Can the load cell kit be used for normal T3PA, the one from T300 alcantara/GT edition?

Clubsport V3s any day of the week especially when they become readily available. I know the economies of scale is probably not in their favor but $170 for a load cell alone already puts it above the cost of the T3A-PRO pedals. To me, at that point, even a PT-1 plus base begins to look like a better deal than it already is. At the end of the day, I guess it's less hassle for those that already own a set of T3PA-PROs.

Looks like you guys are using the green urethane bumper, it says in my manual that the green one is the stuff and the yellow one is the soft one.

Better. T-lcm has a lot of plastic in the support structure. Not as ridgid of a platform as t3pa pro pedals and this mod.

even tho you wish for a softer bushing, i bet it feels a lot better than that weird conical brake mod that comes with the pedals. i'm not a fan of it lol. i don't sim race as hardcore as most. i play a lot of beamng and stuff lol. assetto corsa is mad fun with VR but i don't consider myself as much of a sim racer as you guys.

i have a deadzone on my ricmotech mod.. it ia significantly noticable compared to conical mod. ia there any work around to remove the deadzone?

I bought a used T500 wheel, pedals, TH8A shifter and wheel stand pro delux v2 for 315 gbp (about 485 usd). I think it was a good deal.

Just installed this into my T3PA PROS. Can't get it to work. Gas and clutch are fine. I have no brake at all. Can anyone help????

I would only consider this if I did a lot of console racing. If you only race on the PC I would get a set of fanatec pedals.

+Carl Johnson I'd still get a Basherboards Adapter so you can use the Fanatec pedals with the Thrustmaster wheelbases. You'd be able to use them on a console and it's still cheaper.

Clubsports are the most unreliable set out there. Will break down quicker then a french car. Mine broke within 5 hours.

How does this mod compare to the Ricmotech load cell mod for the G27 brake pedal? I have been using my G27 pedals for the last year with my T300 with a ricmotech adapter...but I've been debating getting the T3PA Pro set.

can you guys elaborate more on the pedals it works and not works with as I'm looking to buy a t500 set up and this MOD. So it I buy a t500 wheel and pedal set this MOD will work?? I'm confused when you said its not compatible with the stock pedals ( what are the thrustmaster stock pedals) . I don't want to buy and realize after I can't use this MOD. thanks,,,,

Great video guys, am in the market for upgrading my pedals just have a few questions how does the pressure compare to basher boards Bush mod? I have that installed just now and would you recommend this load cell upgrade to my t500 over buying a set of Pt-1 pedals? Cheers

+lurcho101 Pressure is similar to basher mod. Biggest difference is that it's based on how hard your press it.

Hello Inside sim race, I am a t500 pedal set owner. I took a look on the page for this load cell. Unfortunately they don't ship to Europe (I'm from Italy). Is there any other way to get the richmotec load cell? Greetings from Italy and keep up the good work!

+Backofthefield ~ Sorry..my mistake, I read your 1st comment wrong..I *thought* you were asking if the installed mod would void the original warranty... If you're asking if Ricmotec does the install themselves and then sends you the pedals, I would say, it would still *void* the warranty because it would not matter who does the install (Either YOU or RICMOTEC)..the fact that an original part is being replaced with a 3rd party product would, in theory, void said warranty... Hope that makes sense? Sorry again for the confusion! ;-)

I just bought a set of T3PA Pro pedals from Amazon for $99.99. So this mod is WAY overpriced by adding $170 to a pedal set that only costs $100. The idea of paying nearly twice as much for the brake mod as the cost for the entire set of pedals is a deal breaker for me. I'll be looking at cheaper alternatives.

has anyone taken a look at the brake pedal on a modern car lately? well I have, it's all computer controlled now and it's more like the old Driving Force Pro and GT brake, there is no hydraulic pressure now, it's all electrically pressured...

They always talk about muscle memory but the way the pedals are from factory are like in real cars, now back in the day they can claim all that and it'd be true, but not these days when everything is controlled by computer. However, the 2 things missing are obviously g-forces, but it's also missing the brake fade feeling which can be construeded (yeah ed, no one speaks 100% perfect) as a hydraulic feel, but, my Mustang GT doesn't have that feel cause it's computer controlled and the brake pedal gets stiffer cause the computer is telling it to because of the fluid pressue sensor

In my opinion way to expensive. Fanatec sells their loadscells for 25 bucks or so. And for 169 euros, you can buy T3PA Pros. :/

+Inside Sim Racing As long as they didn't dive into a vulcano and get that metal they used from the core of this planet or the rubber from a tree that grows in the Garden of Eden, I don't think that product justifies its price. Sure it brings a lot of pros but you literally pay the same that you do for the system you put that mod on. You also don't pay 30.000 euro for a single simple mod for your 30.000 euro car. Imo its price is unrealistic. And sorry if I offended you because that sarcasm sounds kinda angry. It was not my intention...

For the PT-1, it uses POLYURETHANE tube very close to 1/2 ID x 1 1/2 OD. One of them 60A, and the other 80A...2" long. Best to google "POLYURETHANE tube rod" to weed out "tubing", and find what you need.
