Yes it does.. We took the bar off that is used to help invert for one of our rigs. You CAN use this mod with the pedals inverted.

You can also just vary the pressure required for max braking pressure by ONLY pressing as hard as you want to press for full lock-up during the in-game calibration/setup (you can't vary the calibration in the TM control panel, but you can do this in-game in the iRacing calibration, for example). Adding an adjustment knob would further INCREASE the price, and it would also amplify any noise and increase the potential for braking "spikes," and it could impact the braking linearity as well.

You CAN use the pedals inverted with the load cell installed -- that's how I have my own T500 pedals configured, works great!

I Have a set of Fanatec CSR Elite Pedals and believe me a load cell make a real difference when it comes to braking

Great preview guys. I sure hope John Bodin makes the load cell strength optional, as in both 15kg & 30kg available. I am 6'3" and will probably over power the 15kg load cell with my great big size 12's and long long long legs. Just a thought.

With the existing 35kg load cell, you can easily vary the amount of pressure required to achieve max break pressure simply by varying the amount of pressure you apply during the in-game setup/calibration routine (easy to do with iRacing, for example). You can't alter the calibration using the Thrusmaster control panel, but doing it in-game is incredibly easy -- I have my brake calibrated in iRacing so that it takes me quite a bit LESS than 35kg (or 77lbs) to achieve max breaking. :-)

It is a 35kg (~ 77lb) load cell. I believe it's rated at 150%, which means it can handle up to 70kg (~ 154lbs) of pressure (it will only READ 35kg of input before maxxing-out, but mechanically it can withstand up to 150% of its rated input pressure without sustaining damage.

the t500rs pedals are invertable, when you get them, the pedals have a brace on the top side of the pedals while in formula position, but when in "GT" position a single steel square peice holds them up.

Can't be done for $50 - $75 -- not for a plug-and-play design that won't require you to alter your stock pedals, and not for something that will be durable enough to hold up to repeated use. The electronics load cell and load cell amp alone already exceed that price point, not counting the bracket, cable, hardware, and the custom interface board that allows for plug-and-play installation . . . and then there are the required fabrication steps or assembly costs that add to the bottom-line price.

so under stand this that his mod is a must for that wheel cuz it makes the brake more realife car pedal feeling that one alsoe has sort of preasure feeling. :) btw love the show as allways

Not if you're using it for the PS3. You can't plug the Elites into the T500 wheel .

He needs to make load adjustable with a knob like on my new CSR Elite pedals. I wonder why he couldn't have a knob? For that price, I'd expect one actually. That would solve the problem of trying to figure out which one to get too. I'm sure the guy could incorporate an adjustment knob into that design. Maybe in v2??

No, the cost of the load cell units are roughly identical, so a 15kg version wouldn't necessarily be less expensive (but it wouldn't be MORE expensive, either).

Just out of curiousity I don't think the pedals are invertable after installing the load-cell mod. It doesn't look like it fit.

That's a good question, I was hoping they'd confirm if that was possible or not. But I guess they didn't try it.

Does this work with inverted pedals? That is "the" reason I use my T500 pedals as opposed to my Fanatec pedals. Without inverted it's pretty close to a fail. I hope it works that way!

The addition of an adjustment potentiometer (and knob) would increase the cost, and price is already a "con," so this seems like an unlikely addition. Also, having an adjustment knob to vary the output usually means amplifying (or reducing) the signal by varying the gain, which also increases the potential for "noise" to become a factor, and that can contribute to braking spikes. So, not an ideal solution (or even a really good idea) for a variety of reasons, and probably not for V2 either..

Why you did not mention that you can NOT use your pedals inverted?

You design the circuit board that allows for a plug-and-play interface, source the necessary proprietary connectors that Thrustmaster uses, have a custom cable built, locate a source for an AFFORDABLE bracket that doesn't have a negative impact on the bottom-line price, find a BETTER load cell that costs LESS, locate a suitable enclosure for the electronics, figure out a better mounting scheme, lay out the money to do a production run, and come in under my cost, and I'll buy it from you. Deal?

How does this compare to the Richmotec load cell?

Someone that wants to use their T500 pedals with the best wheel available for the PS3 and Gran Turismo. Or someone that doesn't want to deal with another peripheral they don't need.

There's the AP electrix mod for G27, at half the price and no shed-cobbling looks. What's the 150$, or 75$ more than the AP, going on here? I simply don't see who would buy this over a complete set of brand new, all shiny aluminium, load cell pedals.

150$? Even if it didn't look like something I cobbled together in a shed (splitter box, phone cables, ...), that's way way too much, considering you can get great load cell pedals for that.

Okay, change it to decent. Get a cheaper load cell. If AP guys can do a professional looking thing for half the price... But seems there is plenty of interest, so I guess it's all good. Best of luck with it.
