Here I install a Thule Yepp Maxi Easyfit Child Bike Seat to a RadMini Step-Thru 2 ebike for my child. The installation is fairly simple and straight forward and would be the same for any other bike using the rack mounted option. Great review! Can I ask if you know how wide your bike rack is? Mine is 20cm and unsure if it's too wide to fit the child seat

What did you do with the two plastic trapezoid pieces you see in the video while unboxing? The BSR1.213 side rails? Do you know how to install those? The installation guide doesn't offer any advice and I can't find any video showing it.

Is that a standard rad mini rear rack? I called radpowerbikes and they told me the child seat wasn’t compatible with the rad minis anymore because of a safety problem with how it attaches to the rear bars.

Are you still able to fold the bike with the child seat attached? The showroom assistant in my city didn't recommend attaching a rack and child seat to the mini, he said that the fender on the bike is set quite low and hence the mini's back is not suitable for a rack+child seat. So am keen to get your thoughts on how you find it rides withe the rack and child seat attached.

Yup the bike still folds since it's not in the way of the folding mechanism but the child seat will stick up unless you remove it off the rack. We've had no issues with our 3YO sitting in the child seat other than sometimes if we put big boots on him you might sometimes brush it with your shoes while pedalling but that can be resolved by adjusting the foot rest levels. Other than that we've used it for the entire summer on and off road and it's been awesome.

@@PrimeUnboxing Thanks for much for the response. In your opinion, which of the Rad power bikes line of products would you choose for a short rider 5ft (155cm) with the want of having a child seat on a rack to transport a 3 year old? I personally tried the RadWagon and have found that the step through was just too high for a 5ft tall person. So I'd think it's between the Rad Runner/Runner Plus and the Rad Mini, which would you choose?

@@thefrevaproject5565 I recommend you giving the Runner Plus a test ride. If you can handle that bike without height issues and feel confident than that would be ideal for you and your 3yo. I find the runner more of a utility bike, more room to setup panniers / baskets etc to get groceries and run errands with your child. Only drawback is it cannot be folded. Otherwise the Mini Step Thru would be your second choice, just need to install the rear rack to fit the child seat and need the front basket to for additional storage.
