Agreed. This was my all time favorite movie when I was little. And when I got older and realized how big the Disney fandom was, I figured all of Don Bluth's movies would just kinda be included, (even though they aren't Disney). I think Don Bluth needs his own fandom! LET'S START IT.
@@leonirourke7859 Me tooo. Listen you seem like a sweetheart at heart so if anyone deserves to benefit from doing it its you. I just wouldn't know where to start. I am a Audio Production student at LAFS LA Film
@@m.j.mcintear793 omg that's amazing! 🤓 I'd like to write songs and play scripts for the West End and Broadway someday but I don't know the right peeps to send my stuff to 🙂✨✨ one step at a time I suppose 😊✌️
I know there's someone somewhere Someone who's sure to find me soon After the rain goes there are rainbows I'll find my rainbow soon Soon it won't be just pretend Soon a happy ending Love, can you hear me If you're near me Sing your song Sure and strong And soon (I have to be that obligatory person)
Didn’t know until I was about 11 when I became really enamored by the movie that the voice of Thumbelina was done by Jodi Benson, who also did the voice of Ariel in The Little Mermaid.
You're parenting right. I commend you. I'm not a mom yet, and don't plan to be for a while because I'm only 17, but raising your child and exposing them to beautiful music and films (classic, classy stuff like this) really helps them to build character. If my parents hadn't exposed me to things like this when I was younger, I don't think I would have grown up to be a decent, respectable person, and know how to remain to be that type of person, while being constantly surrounded by other young people in my age group that treat others like trash, give in to peer pressure, etc.
i kinda dont wanna watch this movie again. because it wont be the same as i remember as a kid. and i like the way it is in my head lol. also, her voice is amazing lol
Jodi's voice for Thumbelina I feel was her mostly powerful performance ever! And this came few years after Ariel. I love that her voice can switch different singing voices between the 2. You can tell they are both very different from one another.
As a kid I would sing my heart out to this song hoping and wishing I'd find my own Cornelius, and sure enough ❤ I like to think I manifested this by singing this song so much growing up
i played jacquimo in thumbelina in my school and now im playing him in my collage which will be funny because i cant do the accent anymore so lets see how it goes
IKR! As a kid, I preferred Thumbelina over Lion King. But it seems so surreal that both movies had music co-written by two pop music icons. Thumbelina with Barry Manilow and Lion King with Elton John.
@@Dimensioneer88 Concerning _The Swan Princess,_ which songwriter do you mean as a "pop music icon," the composer Lex de Azevedo, or the lyricist (and John Cleese's singing double for Jean-Bob) Dave Zippel?
Ok folks, let's get something straight! Just because the voice actress for thumbelina played Ariel does not mean this movie is a Disney! Just because you can find it on Disney+ does not mean it is a Disney movie! Just because Disney bought 20TH Century Fox does not mean it is a DISNEY movie!! So for the love of the Gods people, stop calling it DISNEY!!
