That wasn't the case when the playthrough was made, using the original PNP rules. But it was something we suggested in our review of the PNP, so I'm glad they made the change in the published version!

WOWSERS! That is a lot, granted the box is essentially the same size as Gloomhaven, which is probably why they are charging that. Currently pretty settled in the basement. Ready to have our house built, but it will be 6 months so I need to be patient!

Great question Justin! So I Love Love Love Aeon's End. Number one co-op deckbuilder. BUT this one you have an actual village you are protecting not just a number, you have ways to co-operate albeit it is not within the cards itself it is with becoming a party and sharing a card. Also I see this one working better with higher player counts because of the simultaneous play. You will see in the next video the game really ramps up and is a ton of fun. Aeon's End does give you more strategy with the no shuffling mechanic, and the fun of the turn order deck. This one the fun is moving in the dungeon, the Guardian dice, and the prestige track. AND this one plays competitively too so you have that versatility.

AEG appear to have fixed all the major issues of the game. Especially the readability of adjustments on cards. Glad that they did.

Completely agree. I just always have some hesitations when it takes 3 editions for it to be set right! But so far I am impressed. I want to see what the other Guardian's look like too.

I skipped thunderstone advance in hoping they would release a new ''Quest'' version of thunderstone someday. I hope my spouse will like it as much as the original game, she's a huge fan =)

100% agree I missed that rule thank you! I will make a note. The good thing is I did defeat a level 2 monster that turn so if I had not gone to the temple and left it the way that it was, I would have been fine. Thanks for this!!

Indeed, in the end, it would have worked out, but since 2 of your strength came from cards drawn from your deck, you wouldn't have known before going in you could have defeated a lvl 2 enemy. But for further gameplay, it is indeed better to just make a note and go on.

I actually don't think that matters. From how I understand it when you go to the dungeon you first play all of your cards down on the table. This would include any extra card draws. THEN you move through the dungeon so I would have known I could pass the Level II monster then right? Just making sure I am doing that right since I never played the game competitively! Thanks!

yes, that is correct. It was mainly that you risked the village to be damaged, which would also resulted in your town guard not leveling up.

NOW I am tracking with you. OK no more mulligans! HAHAHAHA! That is what started it all. . . Gah!

So in the base game there are side quests you can go ones but they are not used in coop. So yes you can go on quests its just that this quest is all about defeating the Guardian

I did and will be laying mostly solo so I say go for it! I think they did a few updates too that will make for good improvements on the game! I am excited for it!

Nope. Cards played provide their gold value, and also provide other effects. You don’t “spend” them for one or the other, if that makes sense.

I am pretty sure you can given that cards go to the discard pile at the end of the turn, but that is something that is not specifically stated in the PnP rules. So I could be totally wrong!
