Yes sir and with that light material. I have done a lot of that too and it's a fine line between burning through and not keeping the arc steady. I do both every time.
They look pretty but penetrate very little. 6010 while rocking your wrists to make a back and forth pattern. You should have a little less than¾" travel before each change in direction. Over lap about ¼" from the edge of the last puddle you laid down. Trick is move your wrists and keep your arms at the same relative distance from your work without moving your arms. ⚓ this represents the movement of the welding rod. The arc will be longer at the ends and warmer in the middle. It will be very hot, so your travel speed has to be pretty fast. You will get the hang of it. I can weld a bed frame with 6010. It's like 18 or 20guage. Spot welds break
Some trim tabs to stop it bouncing, you will be able to go faster if it doesn't bounce all the time. Other thing is put two Universal joints on the drive shaft, one joint will only allow for angle change, while two joints together will allow for mis-alignment as well. This will reduce vibration and wear on parts, and maybe even get more RPM from the engine. Beautiful machine.
Jesus Christ, can you imagine what this guy could do with a set of legit tools. Incredible work. Very impressive welding. I've never seen someone use a tacking technique with a rod and the results/bead look that good. 🙏🏻👊🏻
Adding a horizontal foil off the bottom of the skeg will stop it from porpoising( bouncing up and down). Or you can add trim tabs to keep the front down. This video represents what I love about Vietnamese people. They can fix anything and make anything. Most people will go by parts to make something but they rarely fabricate what they need. In Vietnam, if you can't make it then you're out of luck. Because most of the time you're not going to find what you want at a store. Things we toss in the trash they fix. They don't go buy a part either. Most of the time they will repair or rebuild the part needed. The next time I'm in Vietnam I will definitely be looking you up.
@@AnhTran-gc6ms I lived in Ho Chi Minh city for a few years. I miss it so much. I wish we could live there after this virus is done. I miss my wife's family too. I like how you can walk outside and all the food you want is in the alley. The best street food. We don't have to cook every meal. Just eat Bun Bo, Pho, Com Suon, and a lot more! I am so hungry now! 😁
That's why Vietnam win many biggest and strongest army in the world through 4000 years of their history. Vietnamese mind and intelligence in wars are incredible, hard to find at any where in the world!
I like that he sent his girl out to test first😁 Then he goes out in full street clothes😄 EXCELLENT, HOT-ROD style fab and improvisation work. The SE- Asians do some really cool stuff with just what they have available. No boutique parts, no sponsors or big budgets, just smart resourcefull thinking. 👍
@@sevenravens, mmm, I agree that our "educational" system is dismall and being manipulated to churn out masses of uneducated but....there are smart young people here and ALL around the world. Having a DESIRE to learn and the will to study on one's own is what makes a person intelligent. Sadly, the USA has been being bombarded with propaganda through our media and entertainment sources for 60+ years easily. It's the"frog in the hot water" syndrome
Very nice work faster than your last version. Now need to solve hopping up and down issue and it will be faster yet Excellent craftsmanship and ingenuity. Keep up the good work.
Love it. The ingenuity always a maze's me. I think the bouncing is unfortunately just a downside of the prop and inboard on small boat flaw. Still looks fun as hell
Parabéns pelo canal, acho muito criativo e de uma capacidade enorme de improviso na solução de montagem e construção. Gostaria de ver um modelo seu com hydrofoil, já que sempre usa motores potentes.
No translation needed. Just the looks on their faces when they came in said it all. Girl: “that was fun don’t change a thing” guy: “ahh, this needs a few tweaks and adjustments, wish it was faster”
the driveshaft should be in a straight line, the u-joint won't last long at that angle, It's a two stroke motor so you don't have to worry about the angle of the engine, nice work, enjoyed the video.
If it was longer would that that stability? Is the young lady the regular pilot? It looks like she has the skills, pretty to. That is a wild little boat! Thanks for the video.
