THX-1138 Mindlock Scene (Original Version) 

I love this original version so much better than the CGI heavy changes for the DVD.

I like how THX just looked normal instead of rolling his eyes to the back of his head from the Director's cut.

This looks so much better. I just saw the movie for the first time and despite having never seen the 'original' every dodgy 2000s CGI insertion stuck out like a sore thumb.

The original version is the most wanted stuff in the whole galaxy :- D

Mind blowing technology in 1971 sci -fi classic. Lucas and Coppola are geniuses of movie making!

I love this scene - for the idea that someone's mind can be 'locked' by frequencies, that human error is and will always be present in a technology-dominated world, for the imagination and futuristic concepts.

If there is a god, one day we will have 4K restorations of this film and A New Hope with zero CGI, pointless added scenes or plasticized color grading.

This movie is an eyesore in 4X3.

Before there was Star Wars, there was this film.

And my idiot brain thought the CGI was actually effects from 71....i thought they were decades ahead

Sounds exactly like what is happening nowadays , nobody talking responsibility for their actions and especially their fu##ups .

the whole scene is taking place in a hot cell? I just love that famous scene with the MK8 Master Slave manipulators, the scene is suspenseful in spite of its surrealism.

Out side influence hijacks al their headphones and speakers and a loud voice yells out "Shut the hell up, all of you! Your speaking meaningless nonsense! let THX do his job undisturbed!"

Factoid, the first few seconds of this scene are sampled at the start of Front 242's 1982 song "Operating Tracks".

There is recent versions, adding things and modifieng, what make believe it was from 1971! this here is well, but then in the real 2300, the original version will be removed completely, and they will still believe it's made in 1971! i want ONLY see ORIGINAL,===
