This was definitely a pleasant surprise to see. We get to finally see a 4K (6K, really) scan of the SR “Cimarron” trailer but without the Dolby Digital advertisements and sound effects! Plus, the picture is actually nice and clear this time around to the point where the red particles are actually visible unlike the Froes scan!
AMAZING!!! Not only am I 2 hours late for the premiere, but I get to see a Cimarron THX logo restored for the very first time! I was hyped to go see it when my notifications showed up.
i also lately realized that it's been 35 years since THX cimmaron got released on movie theaters. because i searched through Google about the release date. and it says may 1988. like idk why. But hey, at least we found the original audio, so yeah that's at least totally worth it
@@SebastianSegura1138 Were these scans actually mixed in surround sound? If so, I would love to hear how they sound playing with a home theater setup if they were burned on DVD.
Wait. WWWWWWWWWHAT!? So there are 4 versions. First one being logo premiere, the second one being the 1990 revision, the THIRD is re-orchestrated specifically for Dolby SR, and the last being the final version we mainly know of.
@@paranoia2021 The James Horner version of Cimarron debuted in 1989 for 35mm and 1990 for 70mm. Some theaters however still continued to show the original 1988 recalled version until 1995 due to the preferences of the theater owners or projectionists.
This really surprised me of the cimarron SR variant. but one question. What if, your doing a 2nd version of the THX life variant (which is a 40th anniversary variant?) would be interesting. But yeah. it's still awesome.
Oh. that's a bit sad. but your trailers are still cool. i can still remember 5 years ago, when you uploaded the THX 35th anniversary trailers, it was cool and one of your popular videos. i will never forget these days because of the official THX ltd. channel commented on your video. Still thanks for uploading these videos. Let's see what will happen next
