It hurts to watch this. My childhood is just getting washed away one ride at a time! I will never forget Brer Rabbit and the amazing soundtrack. Legendary ride and unforgettable memories! RIP Splash Mountain
Lewis wasnt working. So much for the most advanced animatronics. Also all i can think at the drop is Mama Odie screaming make me large, too bad you couldnt see hear or see her make you large.
This ride will go down in history as the ride with the most break downs out of any ride also for its confusing story it doesn’t make sense also the sensors don’t work well they didn’t sync them up with the boats there’s also to much space that doesn’t have anything and the animatronics they do have don’t work also this ride is supposed to be after the movie right so why is Ray the firefly singing in this ride he got squished in the movie they also took the thrilling part out of the hill now it’s boring and even if you got your party call for this ride the weather can make it close down 😂😂😂😂😂 all and all don’t waist your time trying to ride this ride RIP Slash Mountain
6:25 Louis’ mouth wasn’t working. Also, why so dark? Feels like middle section of the ride is one lit scene after another with darkness separating them. Feels empty compared to what I remember about Splash Mountain.
I just noticed something after watching this..I went and found some POVs of Splash mountain..the kids are laughing and screeching and having a ball in the Splash Mountain vids..I dont hear any of that on this ride.
1. One of the Lewis puppets wasn't moving its mouth, when he was talking. 2. Still doesn't change the fact that the ride supposedly takes place inside of one of New Oreleans' mountains THAT DON'T EXIST! Also, the animatronics all seem to be rear loaded, or maybe that's just me.
Regarding certain characters not working, it appears that the replacement of the original animatronics with electro-mechanical ones leave the characters more prone to breakdowns. Basically, the new generation of Imagineers are trying to get complex electrical servo motors to work in humid, damp, hot, wet weather (the old ones - Brer Rabbit/etc. - were designed with hydraulics and such that work better in the Florida outdoor climate). The screens only working sometimes doesn't help either, given the darkness in certain parts (as noted by other commenters). Sad.
Taking what I know about Splash Mountain out of the equation, and even though I haven't seen the movie, this does look like a really good ride. The line has a lot of cool stuff, the animatronics are good, especially the ones of Tiana. The added animations are cool too. I can see people that have seen the movie loving this ride. It's just a shame they reskinned an iconic ride to make it happen. I'll give it an 8/10.
Sorry to me the ride was visually BORING! and the music 🎶 was just Meh. They replaced splash mountain with that pile of mediocre 💩 even Knotts Berry farm in the 60s with Disney Corpse budget $$$$$$💰💰💰💰would be embarrassed by the ride. BTW Knotts never had a 1/3 of the cash for their rides
So many problems: 1) no Dr. Facilier. He is the main reason for the adventure to take place. Without Facilier, there is no movie. 2) Prince Naveen doesn't speak. 3) they replaced the music for 'Dig a Little Deeper'. It should be a gospel choir. Salsa is offensive in that role. 4) the characters should not be talking to the guests. The guests should be watching what the characters are doing. The guests are NOT a part of the show. 5) Mama Odie doesn't make Tiana small in the movie, Facilier did. So why would she make the guests small? 6) Tiana doesn't appear as a frog during the ride. 7) the ending song was not in the movie and should not be in the ride. Splash Mountain was not my favorite (Carousel of Progress and One Man's Dream are), but I love The Princess and the Frog too much to ever go on this ride. Hard pass
Just sad. This rings as hollow as all of Disney star wars..just a lifeless/soul-less fascade of what it replaced. Splash mountain was FUN, it was charming, even waiting in line was fun..this is depressing.
The robots move a lot more smoothly, and they seem to have done a very good job redoing this ride, but they should have stuck Br'er Rabbit somewhere in there just for the hell of it.
Tiana's Bayou Adventure needs to be updated, it's too beta. To the Disneyland and Disney World fans and Park Hoppin' when I first seen Tiana's Bayou Adventure I was very disappointed and letdown by the final results of the ride. This ride is too much like Belle's Magical World or Cinderella 2 Dreams Come true or Wreck it Ralph 2 Ralph Breaks the Internet. I want Tiana's Bayou Adventure to be updated with better changes. First of all Disney World Imagineers needs to add more character props to the scenery, add skunks, gophers, bats, lady butterflies, pink flamingos and add Dr. Facilier's tombstone. Also they need to expand on the storyline, why not have us guests looking for Tiana's husband Naveen who appears to be missing, also maybe have minor villains from The Princess and the Frog Lawrence, Reggie, Darnell, Two Fingers, 2 Fenner Brothers hounding us guests. And finally how about playing the song "Almost There" last verse or "Friends on the other side" at the drop off. If Disney World and Disneyland Imagineers would do that, I would then be more excited to ride Tiana's Bayou Adventure otherwise if I'm let down on the actual ride, I'll ride the awful spinning teacups or It's A Small World ride to forget about the unfinished ride of Tiana's Beta Adventures.
The Princess and the Frog was great, but this ride is terrible. It keeps breaking down. At least Japan's Splash Mountain still has its Song of the South theme.
im just happy that disney finally put in a giant beautiful woman after so long. disney needs to put in more giantess cause man this ride makes me feel funny in the pants!
I guess, but it's missing so much on the ride, I want Tiana's Bayou Adventure updated. I'm sad there's no Dr. Facilier or his iconic tombstone or lady butterflies, pink flamingos, also there's too much empty dark space, also the Drop off has the wrong song, "Dig a Little Deeper", There needs to be either "Almost There" last verse or add "Friends on the other side" playing and a better expanded storyline plot, Then it'll actually look way more fun. Otherwise I consider this ride like a Disney sequel Belle's Magical World or Cinderella 2 Dreams Come True.
This ride basically is a lousy ride when it comes to the theme. Kids and parents related to Splash Mountain because of the bears ,honey ,rabbits and other farm and forest animals. Sorry but nobody relates to New Orleans and the bayou other than the crime we read about. The ride also has lots of empty sections with a black Tiana popping up every few hundred yards and saying something stupid.Yep , another successful race swap by Disney .
Disney spends 159 mil, customers drop $500 each and you … post the entire ride online for free ? How does that help anyone , exploitation for a couple thousand views, cameras should be illegal at parks
