Ye the average tibia 16.9 inches

It's impossible to say without knowing a myriad of factors, not least of which is your age, gender, and race. You may be able to find peer-reviewed norms tables or "averages" online. I wouldn't worry though - an average is exactly that; people are going to score on either end of the spectrum.

yes. 16-17" tibia would be for someone 5'11"-6'0" according to publications. for avg height males at 5'9.5", it was around 14"

My tibias are 17 1/2 and femurs is 19 2/3

How tall are you? Mine tibia is 17.5 inches, thigh bone 18 inches, but I am just 5'9

Remember we aren't measuring the entire femur. We only measured up to the greater trochanter.

probably lifting. my tibia are 19.25", but femurs are slightly shorter. people think i'm 6'2" when sitting

Because the measurement is wrong, no one has longer tibia than femur.

@Athlete711 long legs in general help with running, so considering that femurs are the longest bones in the human body they usually help. Bolt himself has really long femurs and powerful legs in general

@Athlete711 yeah usually the femur is 20% longer than tibia. But imagine a guy with really short femur and long tibia running, biomechanically it's not as good as a very long femur and a normal tibia.
