Power setting 1:4 means it listens for 1 second, rests for 4 seconds. So its not listening constantly and using more battery. I had to look this up.

Thanks for all your work, it's much appreciated. I have multiple GMRS radios and just purchased the H3, so I really appreciate this series. I like the variety of features, and the size is nice for EDC radio.

These radios like the Quansheng and other cheap radios are a boon to the new hams coming into the hobby and some of us older folks, you don't have to worry as much about messing around inside the thing like you would with a several hundred-dollar radio.73's🎙KD9OAM🎧📻📡 🚧

The UV9Gs were my first radios and I don’t have a computer and I don’t know how to manually program them or the BF888Ss. I’m having more progress with the TDH3 with the help of your videos and others, and using Odmaster.

Recently did the update and it bricked as soon as I turned it on following instructions. I've tried a few different cables and firmwares with no lunch so far. It bricked using a bauefeng data cable, which is noted in the picture of cable types in directions.

I have two UV9Gs and some BF888Ss but I can’t get them to talk together. I just got a TDH3 and can only talk to one and not the other. How can I use them all together?

How do I store frequencies from the frequency scanning?

Had an "R" pop up next to the wide band icon. Manual says it means " reverse the receive and transmit frequencies in frequency mode/ channel mode." Do you know any more about that? Thanks!

Thank you Scott, I have ordered two of these radios from TIDRADIO. Wanted black so had to get the GMRS pack but will convert them to HAM as soon as I get them. Have also ordered a pair of Nagoya NA-701 antennas for them as well. Looking to confirm the frequency of the Wireless Clone feature, I believe it to be below 430 MHz which will place it outside the Australian 70cm band and illegal for me to use. But a video on this feature would be appreciated.

I recently did a firmware update May 10, 2024 on a recently purchased H3 and had no issues with it reseting everything to low power. Chirp also never reset to low power as long as I set each channel Chirp power setting to High.

I appreciate greatly your video but for me, you went into the weeds about repeaters too soon when I at the level of how to use the menu system. For example, I cannot make my radio scan GMRS channels.

Can you please help me? I just received my H3 radio, I have watched your videos but I still can’t figure out how to program a scan of the aircraft band

What are those numbers 1 to 5 on the top of the display for?

Can it Bluetooth to a BT headset for speaker and mic functions?

I wanna get this radio but it seems so damn complicated to use.
