Definitely needed to be deleted. Doesn’t add anything and too many other characters to care about right at the end. But cool to see. I don't think any of the deleted scenes were a loss.

The rebels randomly running around inside the falcon feels weird. And why the hell are the gunners only now going to the laser cannons when they knew beforehand they were going into battle?

I think the only thing this really adds is it shows how much more competent and experienced Han and the rest of the crew were. That’s really all I can think of.

Ive always had an issue to ROTJ with the Falcon. They are bringing a non military issued civilian custom armed ship with a very fast hyperdrive to the biggest battles ever.

Most of the rebellions ships are old modified ships or modified civilian vessels because they are under equipped rebels

The Mon Calamari cruisers used by the Rebellion were modified transport ships as were most other ships in their fleet. It makes sense to a degree why they would use the Falcon.
