1983, living in countrified East Tennessee. I first heard this song while on a trip to Hawaii......there was a Hawaiian band singing this at our hotel. Every place we went, some band was playing this song. When I got back home, lo and behold, a night time DJ was playing this on our local station. I couldn’t believe it. I called the station and told the DJ that I would bring him a pan of brownies if he would play that again. He agreed, and I made brownies right then and took them to him. He played my song. 💗💗

I liked this from the start in college, but more than 40 years later I finally understand this record is a masterpiece. The rich, assured harmonies, the odd and interesting timing, the warmth throughout - it all sneaks up to an ending with huge emotional impact.

I remember my mom taking me to see them in concert when I was about 8 yrs old back in the mid 80's. I also remember hearing this song played a lot at weddings in the 80's too! I was a child but I had fun and started my love for music back when I took my 1st step! Music is everything to me.

Awesome living these music all over again love it❤😊 grew up with these music brings back memories.😎

My girlfriend Karen and I were hurt in an accident. A drunk driver hit our card and flipped it. I was hurt for a couple of months and I stayed with Karen and her family because I wasn't getting any help from my dad and grandmother. I got to spend one of the most AMAZING holiday seasons with them. All of us went to Karen's aunt's house and her cousins were very happy to see me and Karen!!!!! We all sat down and enjoyed each other's company. Then we went out on their patio and grilled some food and I really enjoyed helping out with the cooking as well!!!! Then everyone was listening to some AWESOME music and dancing to it as well. Karen's aunt & uncle were very good dancers and really made a great showing!!! Then Karen's parent danced next and were very good as well!!! Karen's sister Lynnie danced with her cousins and were very good. This song started and I looked like I was struck by LIGHTNING!!! I also was holding Karen and tears were streaming down my face!!! Karen's aunt and uncle asked if I was okay!!! Karen said, " Allie is very nervous and high energy by nature"!!! Karen's mother then said, " Now you will see someone who can dance"!!!! Karen's cousins started cheering us because I had Roller-skated with them!!! Karen & I stood up and got in the middle of the patio and DESTROYED IT!!!!!!! Karen's aunt & uncle started to SCREAM & FREAK OUT!!!! Karen's parents were screaming & applauding us!!!! Karen's sister and cousins were CHEERING us on!!!! WE got done and Karen was crying her eyes out and holding me. She then told me, " I LOVE you so much"!! "You made me so proud of you"!!! Karen's aunt & uncle asked me where I learned to dance so good. I told them my twin sister Eva and my mother taught me and my sisters and I were Roller-Skating and dance champions. Karen's uncle asked if I could dance on Roller-Skates and Karen Replied, " Allie is also a Pro Roller Skater and I always have to be ready for a Pro-Roller -skating show when he takes to a skate floor!!! I got hugs and kisses from everyone there!!!! 😍😍❣❣💋💋❤❤🌩🌩⚡⚡🌀🌀🔥🔥 HIGH ENERGY LOVE!!!!

This song takes me back when I was still in high school. It was during next to my final year, in other words my junior year. All I can remember hearing it when I always go to a lot of parties, and spending my Sunday afternoons going Disco roller skating, and there were the best times in my life.
