I really felt for that woman with the man who wouldn't get married, give her any kids, or even take her out now and again. She looked like she daren't speak her own mind with him there
wow my way of thinking is exactly the same as these people, but i dont live as tight as them cos im just too lazy to do it. itd be so great if i could meet them one day and swap saving tips - for example, when the lady talked about the cheapest funeral service, it just made so much sense to me. why would i want more than the minimal funeral required. im dead how would i care
I can't understand that woman handing over money she has mande to that control freak. The best advice I ever got was to have a sneeky account for yourself soif your partner ever pisses you off you can get out without depending on anyone else to help.

Yes, I partially agree. I'd never want to see my relatives pick up a hefty bill for something as pointless as an expensive coffin which'll just get cremated or those high-priced letters on one's stone at, I dunno, 50€ a piece. Having said that, they can't take their hoarded money into the afterlife. Since most of them have no children, it's pointless what they're doing and they might aswell spend it.
Being tightwads is a sort of poverty. The Millionaire lives life like a pauper, he wouldn't even buy himself a pint of bitter. I am surprised he bought the reporter one. Life is about give and take and balance and they are out of sorts.
He saved ten years for that house, but has no children, no family, and treats his partner terribly... Well I'd rather rent forever and a day..... What he's doing to his partner is abuse.
It's nice what that old lady does for charity, but not bothering to get a reasonably nice coffin or even a SERVICE and not visiting his grave anymore...that is truly shocking.
