Just in case anyone else looks at this video before purchasing... I got a pair from TIJN and they're cute and feel like good quality glasses. However, they don't fit my tiny face as well as I had hoped. Of course before purchasing I checked out their return policy and though I was safe. When I messaged them about my return, they said they would only return the cost of the frame and that since I wear prescription glasses and got blue-light blocking ones they couldn't refund that money. So basically, they want to give me $45 dollars back from my original $125 and have me pay to ship them back to their "lab." Just FYI for anyone who is weary about ordering online! I'm just planning to keep them since shipping them back isn't cost effective.

I'm a retired optician and in looking back at your You Tube videos ( I actually just commented to you on your first video ab out your lovely house plants) I did you wearing your previous glasses and they would have actually been very helpful to you when you were selecting your current glasses. If you look on the inside of the temples you will see a set of numbers stamped on them. The first number is the width of one of the lenses in your glasses. The second number is the width of the bridge, the part that goes across your nose, and the last number is the length of the the temples, arms, of your glasses. All these numbers are in millimeters. Everything in optical is based on millimeters rather than inches. If you notice all of the glasses that "TIJN" offers also shows the size f their glasses using the 3 number set. So by matching the 3 numbers indicated on your glasses with glasses on their site they should be a pretty good fit on you. I'm glad that your happy with your glasses and as it turned out them really do seem to fit you very well. Their a little on the big side but based on you previous glasses you seem to prefer a little bigger size frame anyway. I think they look really cute on you if you don't mind being called cute. Because their a wire frame they have to be extremely light weight so they should be very comfortable to wear and since you seem to wear you glasses full time that makes a nice difference. And being a thin wire frame they really allow for your face to be seen very well. Getting your glasses for under a hundred dollars is certainly much better than what you would pay for glasses from a local shop or store, but for that same hundred dollars you could get anywhere from 5 pairs to 8 pairs and that includes the same AR coating (anti-reflective) as you got from "TIJN" as well as the shipping. I found out about a site 16 years ago from one of my female opticians called Zenni Optical (zeeni.com) and they actually have a rather nice selection of glasses, including the prescription lenses for as low as $6.95 add on the optional AR coating which is just $5.00 that makes the glasses only $12.00. So your hundred dollars would have bought you 8 pairs of glasses in this price range. But they have several hundred more for under $13.00 an adding on the Ar coating making them $18.00 you could get 5 pairs of these glasses and that also would include the shipping as well. Oh and the quality of the glasses or as good as any at a local optical shop. Also something else Zenni has that "TIJN" doesn't is virtual try-on session by posting a selfie you can try on every frame they have. None of my business for asking but your glasses look to be very weak. Do mind posting what your prescription is? Did you get your eyes examined before ordering your new glasses from "TIJN" or did you use the prescription from your previous glasses?

Jim Boice wow that’s so informative!! My prescription is around -3.00 and I based these glasses off the prescription of my previous pair.

@@AshleyEmbers Thank you for your reply. I try to be as informative as possible when it comes to glasses or the eyes in general. It's okay to use an existing prescription from your previous glasses as long as you're pretty certain that there hasn't been in change in your eyesight since you last had your eyes examined. If your previous glasses were less then a year old you weren't even due for an eye exam. But usually your eyesight stops, or slows down, changing one you're nearing your twenties before stopping altogether. How did you go about getting your PD measurement? So you weren't looking to get new glasses due to a change in your prescription but more so just to change your glasses look. I think that anyone that wears their glasses full time should at least have a second pair as a backup just in case anything were to happen to their glasses As an optician I saw hundreds of people coming in in a panic because they lost or broke their glasses and needed a new pair as fast as possible. The main reasons were things like falling asleep while watching TV with their glasses on and waking up to broken glasses. Also there has to be millions of pairs of glasses at the bottom of lakes, rivers, oceans and even streams due to people not taking their glasses off when they are in water. Anyway if at around -3.00 i'm sure that you would never want to be without your glasses for even one day let alone maybe having to wait a week for new glasses to be made. But i'm betting you do have several pairs of previous glasses that are maybe slightly weaker than your current glasses but good enough for you to get by until you got new ones. Now that you know about other sites that you can get glasses from i'm thinking that you may soon be ordering a couple more pairs of glasses and if you don't already have prescription sunglasses a nice pair of sunglasses.

@@soundmanpt I know this was a while ago but your conversation here and comments on a few other channels helped me pick my glasses today!! I chose three pairs - one set of prescription sunglasses and two glasses - from Zenni. First time ordering glasses online. Thank you so much for sharing the information. And thank you, Embers & Ash, for the review of your TIJN glasses!!

@@LizCaplin Thank you for your reply. Understandable that was a time gap between my comment and your ordering of glasses. As long as your current glasses were working fine for you no real reason to order any new glasses. I assume that you placed your order after getting your eyes examined and the need for a prescription change. I have helped a number of people place orders and most seem to do as you did, order a pair of prescription sun glasses and two pair of regular glasses. So are you pleased with the glasses you received from Zenni? Were you surprised at just how simple it really was to order your own glasses on line? The most difficult part is the uncertainty of the fit of the glasses since you can't actually try them on. If for any reason any of the pairs you don't fit quite right all you need to do is stop at any optical store and have them adjust your glasses for you just like you would if would have bought your glasses from an optical store. They aren't going to care about where you got your glasses from. I'm guessing that the total for all three pairs was somewhere around $50.00. Would I be correct to think that you will only be buying your glasses on-line form now on? Glad my suggestion was of help to you and all I ask is that you pass it on to all of your glasses wearing friends and co-workers.

I always get compliments with maiike glasses. But there’s already been 3 occasions that don’t make me want to order them anymore. One was the screws came undone . And the other 2 the glasses came crooked and the frames fell out and wouldn’t stay. And they took forever to refund me $100 . So I had to speak to my bank. I’m never ordering from them again
