I can’t be the only one that’s noticed the OVERWHELMING amount of ads on TikTok recently…as I mentioned, I have no issue with influencers posting ads to make a living and I certainly have no issue with people just trying to save money for the holidays! But ever since the TikTok Shop launched, I almost NEVER get to see the content I’m ACTUALLY USING THE APP FOR. My whole feed is usually fitness-related, but every video is about buying supplements, clothes and other products that aren’t even related to the gym. I may just be ranting because I can only speak on my own experience, but there are plenty of other content creators that are truly making videos to help people…THAT DON’T GET EXPOSURE & TikTok only seems to reward salespeople. There has to be a better balance between real content and ads because EVERY OTHER social media platform hasn’t been nearly as pushy.
