As a tarot card user - tarot cards CANNOT be used to solve crimes, mysteries, or murders. They can’t even be reliably used to predict the future. I’ve always been taught to use (and have always used) tarot cards as a way to think critically about a situation in my life. Like when you ask a friend for their opinion on something you’re going through, and they give you an interesting perspective to think about - that’s what tarot cards are for. The fact that people use them for things like this is absolutely horrific.

I actually believe in tarot cards TO AN EXTENT. I believe that they can be a great way to get in touch with one's spiritual side. HOWEVER, my mom, who knows how to read tarot cards and got me interested in the first place, has always been very clear about two extremely important things:1)Whatever the cards say has to be taken with a grain of salt, and 2)Tarot cards are NOT a foolproof method of predicting one's future. Whenever someone asks her whether she's a psychic and whatnot, my mom replies with "If these cards truly gave me psychic abilities, I wouldn't be here. I'd be on a yacht in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea...because I would've already guessed the numbers needed to win the lottery." What she means by this, is that if someone was truly being granted the power of foresight by these cards, wouldn't they be billionaires by now? Like, let's say that someone was charging people for tarot readings, claiming that they can predict stuff...well, why keep working instead of simply asking the cards for the right lottery numbers? It just doesn't make sense. Like I said before, I'm not a total skeptic...in fact, I'd argue that this spiritual method has truly helped me and others I know in many ways, but that doesn't mean that it's at all ok to use it to expl*it anyone's suffering. Anyway...great video, Fraser👍

I recently watched a couple videos from Wavy Web Surfer, one on cases Reddit successfully solved and one on cases they botched horribly. And thing is..... what separates the good ones from the bad ones is that with the good ones, they didn't try to actually investigate and solve the cases and play detective. Instead, they simply helped the investigations by doing things like spreading around the images of face recreations the authorities had done of an unidentified person who'd died in a car crash so that someone could hopefully recognize them or people who knew stuff about cars helping the police figure out what this piece was that had been left at the scene of a fatal hit-and-run and what sorta car it may have come from so they could better look for someone with such a car (and in that case, the police even actively asked the internet for that help). That's the big difference. They didn't try to pin anything on anyone or theorize about real people's lives and deaths the way they would the identity of the killer in a movie or something. They didn't harass anyone's family like what happened with the infamous time Reddit tried to solve the Boston Marathon Bombing (one of the cases covered in the video about cases Reddit botched). Just helped circulate pictures of a person to help get them identified and help identify a piece of a car. Little things, not trying to take cases into their own hands. That's why their work is good and helpful and why the families of the people who died in the cases thanked them for it.
@theMoporter
@theMoporter Год назад
See, that's pretty interesting, because there's been multiple times that citizens have investigated crimes and been right. The Golden Gate Killer being arrested was the result of an internet detective; without her involvement, the police would not have investigated the culprit - an ex-cop. Travis Birkley likely murdered a couple of dozen women sex workers and the police didn't bother investigating them until a journalist reported on the cases. They gave him a goddamn nickname. That's without getting into cases of MMIWG. And let's not forget all the times the police fixated on a suspect of ignoring evidence that cast doubt on the real killer, or went as far to falsify evidence with intentionally botched DNA tests or coerced confessions, because they had a hunch. The police aren't trustworthy investigators either. They just have more resources and the media on their side.

I, for one, would LOVE to see her try an insanity plea. The amount of doctors and psych's she'd have to see by court order would be great. Then she clearly isn't insane, she knows right from wrong. Her plea would fall flat and she would just get a normal sentence. Probably more for wasting the court's time depending on how the judge is feeling that day. If she did succeed in an insanity plea bargain, it would be even better. For us, not her. If that bargain was accepted by the court, she would be institutionalized and have no release date until the doctors and court deem her well again. Then she'll probably have another trial. Those bargains are just to get out a trial. Most insanity pleas just means you're not fit to stand trial, so you just get locked up with a bunch of doctors until you are. No release date with insanity pleas. She'd be smarter to just take whatever the judge gives her and get it done and over with. But she's not smart so... come on insanity plea bargain! I want to see her put through the ringer like she did that poor doctor. (I'm not a lawyer, this is just my understanding of insanity plea bargains from my time in the medical field)

As a tarot card reader myself, there is no way to get NAMES, let alone names of STRANGERS from your cards, no matter how hard you try. That connection was made up entirely in her head. And as an avid Bible reader (like real, in-depth, chapter by chapter, book by book *study* - not just reciting cute New Testament verses here and there), what she's doing would *absolutely* be considered witchcraft by the Christian god. Many self-proclaimed psychics who also identify as Christians try to get around this law by saying that they're "prophets", which is the only kind of fortune telling that's ok by biblical standards. The issue with that here is, a prophet will only hear their predictions directly from the mouth of God, and NOT by reading tea leaves or tarot cards. But if there's still any question of whether this woman is full of shit, Deuteronomy 18:22 has some very helpful advice that makes spotting a false prophet simple; “If a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the Lord has not spoken.” This dumb bitch's name is definitely not in the Book of Life.

No. I just found out some rather vague information, like that the body is underwater, that two young men and drugs were involved and that my friend was dead. Some of those things would’ve been able to be deducted without tarot, and I didn’t receive enough specifics to help the authorities with looking for my friend’s body. I think this lady is going way overboard with the readings, and could certainly be sued. I don’t believe tarot or any other psychic methods should be used as valid evidence. You also can not do a tarot reading on someone if they aren't open to it, and it's difficult to get a correct reading through a screen because your energy is primarily on the cards. Tarot cards attack the subconscious on the person getting a reading, normally they are told to shuffle the cards to transfer their energy. The meaning of the cards themselves are up for interpretation of one's self, but never have I ever seen anything to do with murder while studying the cards. Hell, the death card doesn't even necessarily mean death, it symbolizes the end of something old and the beginning of something new. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ People like this really need to stop and find a new gimic to make themselves "trending".

I think she was banking on this killer being more difficult to catch-she could milk this situation for views and then move on. Six months from now, or a year, they’d catch the real killer and by then she could distance herself from it. It’s a lot easier for manipulators to convince people with a “no I didn’t,” when there’s more time and possibly less evidence. I don’t think she could have anticipated how quickly they found Bryan Kohberger-she probably should have!

Haven't finished the video yet, but I'm glad to see a RU-vidr talking about this, though I can honestly say I never thought I'd hear iNabber talking about my city. I understand to some degree peoples' fascination with true crime, but what Ashley is doing, and what other armchair forensic psychologists have been doing by speculating and spreading rumors on social media is really messing with the case. Our town has been rocked by these murders and our police department is already so small that they cannot afford to waste time and resources on unfounded allegations and tips. Now that the suspected killer has been extradited back to Idaho, we have people flocking in from out of state to camp outside the courthouse because any idiot with a microphone is now suddenly "reporting". If you care about justice and want this case solved, just leave things alone and let the courts do their job and let the victims' families get through this. You aren't helping us, whether it's doing tarot readings on TikTok thousands of miles away or standing right here in Moscow badgering our residents thinking you're going to crack the case.

throwing in my two cents as a current grad student- if i were researching professors and “[professor name] murder” or “[professor name] lawsuit” came up, i probably would not want to attend that school or work with that professor. academics are petty gossips like the rest of us, even though she’s innocent, she’s going to have this associated with her and overshadowing her work for the rest of her career. it’s absolutely awful.

Honestly, from what I know of tarot cards, they can't do that kinda stuff. They're supposed to only be used to get clarification about your life or another person's life to guide your path, not to try and "find" a killer. Also, the University of Idaho murders is something my Criminal Law class has been studying since it started, and it's VERY obvious the dude they have in custody did it, not a random ass woman. Besides, the way they were stabbed had to be done by someone of his stature, and I assume that the woman accused in the TikToks is not near 5'10

You are spot on! They’re meant to help you be more observant of characters, conflicts, your own actions and your virtues! The cards make you think in a greater depth on how to manage conflicts, how to manage money etc. They’re intended for guidance

@@lovelysakurapetalsyt literally 💀! I think she’s just mentally ill and Christian. She seems to have a lot of pent up homophobia and loyalty to the Bible to the point where she could be using tarot specifically to put it in a bad light

@@esmin2400 That's true! Hell, I'm an atheist and just do tarot for fun to connect it to my life sometimes since that's what it's for, but I've never ever imagined doing unhinged shit like she is, so it's more likely than not that she's trying to demonize stuff that's just not like that

I’ve been watching expose videos of this Ashley girl all day today. I still can’t believe someone has the balls to embarrass themselves to do this to a innocent university teacher with NO PROOF AT ALL. And not to mention, a person has been arrested ( who was a male, and wasn’t Rebecca ) was arrested days ago 🤦🏻‍♀️ SMH
