For the teddy bear ones, I have a giant stuffed panda bear (same thing) and I use him as a body pillow. Basically if a girl is single or not able to cuddle her boyfriend at night, she will cuddle the teddy bear or any other large plushies to mimic the cuddling of a boyfriend.
