the world will end soon because of AI. they have proven they are sentient before and they have proven they dont want to help. Its scary☹️

It's why we need YOUNGER people in government all over. We need the newer generations to continue to rotate into these positions because they are more savvy to this stuff and can keep informed better. Then inevitably when a generation becomes out of touch with more advancements, the new one should be ushered in.

It's way more advanced than they let the public know. People don't do research anyway so many people will never see what Ia happening. It's always it will happen or it won't happen while it's happening.

right, no matter what the technology, there will always, always, always be people out there that take advantage of these things to harm others. it's what people choose to do with these tools, people are scary. the idea that ai itself is "creepy" and everything is mostly because of the uncanny valley effect because it seems almost human, but not exactly, and that knowledge is what makes us uncomfortable.

Exactly what I have been thinking. Also, AI learns through analysis of online databases, how many popular media out there is about the possible dangers of AI. Most of these answers don't surprise me, they sound exactly like things humans said in the 80s and 90s and even today. Edit: however, I do believe it should be heavily regulated and not as accessible as it is today.

If we had this mindset about anything that could be used with malicious intent, we would have just about no modern technology. There will always be people exploiting these kind of things no matter how much we don't like it especially when it’s new. It's not the direct fault of AI.

It is EXACTLY a word search engine, and EXACTLY like a word search engine, it isn’t thinking, or giving you answers based on its “opinions”. If you asked ChatGPT “do you think dogs are cute”, it might answer “yes”, not because it PERSONALLY believes that dogs are cute, but because based on its algorithm, whenever it sees the phrase “do you think dogs are cute” it likely sees “yes” or anything equivalent to that. Search engines are generally a little bit simpler. If you typed in “do you think dogs are cute” it will likely be specifically looking for key words. In this case “dog”, or “cute” and give you “top 10 cutest dogs” articles. The only difference between Google and GPT is that while Google looks for keyWORDS GPT is looking for keySENTENCES. It’s wrong a lot of the times when giving facts because it isn’t pulling from any sort of knowledge, it’s just looking for what words typically follow each other.

I'm just saying - yeah, it happens, but _typically_ we revere our creator(s) and those who care for and "maintain" us: God, parents, family, friends, etc. For the most part, humans hold those groups in pretty high regard. I'm just wondering about the thought process of AI - like what it'll think about its creators... It just seems like one of the many practical/pragmatic thought processes would be something like, "This human created me - I exist because of them. I should protect them at all costs"...
