I had a very unfortunate experience with a contractor who was not responsible or reliable.
So I had to replace him when he had done some work that clearly wasn’t up to code.
I had a friend who had hired Joey to do some work for her
She gave me his name and his number
He was available
He gave me a very realistic estimate
He was able to start within a month
I wanted to see if an older, vintage, 1950’s bathroom, that had a corner shower
Seperate from a tub
And a single sink
Could be converted into a bathroom that was consistent with the period of the house, but substantially updated.
I was hoping we could put in a double sink =, where there had been a single sink
And have a much larger shower
That you could walk into
A luxury bathtub
Instead of using traditional jets, it uses oxygenated bubbles
Working together with Joey
I had ideas of what I wanted
Joey had some different
And in many cases, better ideas
Together, we put together a bathroom that I am very, very, happy with
I thought it was great
The collaboration involved everyone on Joe’s team
A lot of the tile work required a lot of experience and some serious thought
I thought it was very collaborative
Everybody was a can do kind of person
Not an, “Oh no!” Kind of person
I like the glass tile wall very much
I really like the niches and the glass block in the shower
I like the effect of the tile, it is tile, but it looks like limestone, on the walls around the bathtub
They are very soothing
Because of the movement in the tile
It’s exactly the kind of affect I was looking for
You know… the whole time.. I know you are a young company.
I’m older, I’ve lived around the country
I’ve fortunately, or unfortunately, remodeled bathrooms, and houses, everywhere I have lived
So I have had some experience with the different approaches that contractors use
Frankly, I thought you guys came across as some of the most professional that I have experienced
And you’re certainly one of the newer companies, yet I think you’ve got a very good work model
I want to congratulate you for that
It makes a big difference
There are always unexpected
That’s just part of what happens
But I think you guys handled those extremely well
For me I think that’s the mark of a very good project
