Watching you dance with your little ones warmed my heart. Some 20+ years from now you may dance at their weddings, holding them and wondering where all the years went. But you’ll never regret it, because when they were young and you were younger you all danced together. The bathroom is looking absolutely fantastic! The Outdoor shower will be a great idea, but the one thing you failed to mention was the snakes….Other than that I agree with you totally. But then again once your bathroom is done you won’t have to be outside in the dark.

Build an outdoor shower with permanent walls, maybe a teakwood mat and permanent plumbing that you can drain in the colder months. Then enjoy nature whenever the notion strikes you. The tiling is beautiful!

Sounds like you're going to be adding a permanent outdoor shower! I highly recommend it. We use ours right up until just before first frost. It's great to shower outside!

I have been a subscriber from the very beginning, and I am so blown away by you're (plural) amazing skills, be they carpentry, plumbing, electrical, videography, editing, parenting, and you name it, but when I saw Mackenzie dancing with your kiddoes in the kitchen, the first thing I thought about was these videos (ALL of 'em) will be SOOOO heart tuggingly wonderful when the kids are grown, married and moved away (or living at the near-by dwelling in your ever-expanding Life Uncontained "compound"). As someone getting pretty old, I've observed how time goes by so quickly, but you've documented and shared a LOT of it. Thank you for sharing this amazing adventure with all of us. Well done!

Haha drywall! Spencer you're the MAN bro! The biggest thing I've learned from you in the last few years is that ANYTHING is possible - anyone can learn anything. You learned enough to build an entire house from scratch! I also learned about your approach to everything - your attention to detail. Your toughness to get through it and get it done, and your determination to get it done properly. Also, if something is even slightly wrong, you make sure it's redone until it's done right. Spring project idea: An outdoor shower that looks kind of like the "outhouse" already out there. 😊

I believe that's the classiest bathroom you are ever going to see in a container home. It looks beautiful. You could saw the small trim pieces on the window flush to the top and bottom pieces. It would save cutting around them and probably not look bad on that small width. Great job again on the video editing. Bless you and those little ones.

One way to secure tiles that didn't set in grout is to use two part epoxy under them and since the octagonal tiles are on a web you can lift them out easily. By digging out the grout to replace it the chances to disturb other tiles around it is almost assured and they might lift as well since it can crack. A tip about the water problem they've have would of been done to install a Gray Water Tank system that the shower, washer, and sinks discharge goes into. Since a toilet can reuse it to flush it can be just a matter of running a secondary line to it with fresh water as an auxillary back up as needed. A Gray Water system uses filters to remove particles that would otherwise collect in a toilets tank and a UV light as well since the water needs only need to be non potable for it.

You should just build an outdoor shower for those times when you want to be outside. There are a lot of cool designs that you could integrate with the panels you have from the container. Then a river rock or wood floor. We built an outdoor shower while we build and we built it as a permanent structure so we have it on our hot NM days.

I agree 100% that it’s different taking a shower outside but it’s so relaxing. That should be your next project, build an outdoor shower and maybe an outdoor kitchen!

Build a permanent shower outside using just pallets. As kids grow older and play outside it will be useful for cleaning them up before coming inside the house. A second low showerhead or spigot for foot washing. Great on hot summer days!

Tiling looks good, would have done the continuation in the corners different but thats free choice. have fun with the little corners! :)

For those narrow tiles make a template of the area to be tiled and then work off off that. You can precut all tiles before installing them that way. Love your video's.
