Tim was probably contractually obligated to get fat before working with Dr. Steven Brule because Steve Brule has and always will refuse to work with hunks.
haha right on. yeah i see your point its an inside thing to us Tim and Eric fans but, i think also, it is a testament to their ability to seem like they arent acting at all while tapping into ideas that they seem to go back and revisit with different added little subtleties. crAzy stuff .
It’s very compelling how Tim and Eric utilize trauma in their works. Tim went to Allentown Central Catholic School which is near where I live, and I don’t doubt that this interaction isn’t far off from one or many that he had in the past at that school. So many of their works seem to highlight trauma and the scared, weird, inner child that trauma can create, especially in lower middle-class suburbia which I personally relate to on a huge scale. So many of their works involve people clearly plagued by trauma and disorder which has turned them into their weird, awkward inner child; Dr. Brule, Casey Tatum, Taquito, Gibbons, probably Scott Clam (look at me and tell me that man has not seen horrible things), and so many others. So many sketches have to do with neglect of children, whether emotional or literally feeding them poison or selling them off as clowns. Many involve abusive, narcissistic parents or guardians and they portray them with such accuracy and emotion that there’s no way they didn’t experience many of the things they write about, albeit not as exaggerated obviously.
Excellent comment. When I heard him begin the prayer I said to myself there is no way he did not go to Catholic School. I did as well in lower middle class Detroit until grade 5. What year do you figure this is from?
I'm so confused he looks young but the animated cut out looks like him in the future...this show is on so many levels, back stories and references and the time mix up if you pay attention is crazy throughout the years on all the related shows. I am starting to see T&E influence I think in music videos but I'm not sure.
Lol how he says the Our Father like he doesn't care. I think that's really funny because I went to catholic school and that's how the teachers would say the prayers before class. So funny wow
1:08 Hahahahaha Tim nailed the subtle awkwardness right from the start. Also love how both times they sing Tim sings "notebook" and Eric sings "notebooks"
Heh, really? He's pretty good-looking here, but I find him most attractive now; the extra weight now just shows off his more natural look. But I guess I've always been attracted to the husky look. Hah.
