The punishment that Errol absorbed was tough for me to watch. Derrick James has to take responsibility for the lack of an effective game plan to deal with Crawford's counter punching. Everyone knew Crawford was a great counter puncher, but somehow Errol wasn't prepared for it. I know Spence is very competitive and wants the rematch, so he can redeem himself, but win, loose, or draw, he will still absorb additional punishment from Crawford in the rematch. I hope that Spence considers all of the damage his body has been through and his beautiful family and their future before officially activating the rematch clause. I have met so many fighters at the International Boxing Hall of Fame who have suffered permanent damage; I don't want to see Errol suffer a similar fate.

Spence's plan was clearly to wait till Bud ages, exactly like Canelo did with GGG.

I believe that Spence underestimated Crawford to a degree if a little arrogant at times. Put him in the dirt, break his will etc. Not adding a single tool to his already very limited arsenal thinking he could just out dog and run through him and he paid a very costly price for it.
