Corrales was the undefeated Mike Tyson of the division and Floyd put on boxing clinic. Bud wouldn't be hardest puncher Floyd faced or even the best puncher.

Also even though Crawford has a 74inch reach vs Floyd’s 72inch reach. In HBO Mayweather arm length is 26” vs TBC’s arm length of 24.5”. That imo is a much more accurate gauge of reach advantage. That being said Floyd was listed at 5’7” for a large portion of his early career, so maybe he’s a bit shorter? Bradley also uses the Cotto fight as an example of Floyd being pushed, and I agree that Floyd was pushed in a great fight. Some points to be made are first Floyd stated in the post fight that he was sick, with the flu I believe. Nate Jones, the guy who did the body bag work with Floyd, said he really over trained for that fight. Also you can see in certain fights at 140+ where Floyd tried to really be aggressive, these were Corley, S. Mitchell, Zab Judah, Shane Mosley, Cotto, Maidana 1. Ironically a lot of the times Floyd got hurt were in these fights. He wasn’t as good defensively when he tried to be a pressure fighter. He adapted vs southpaws and we saw him fight a lot more intelligently vs Guerrero and Pacquiao. He still did get caught by Pacquiao, but nobody has perfect defense, also it was from straight left hands which isn’t Crawford’s real killer punch. Floyd showed in the second Maidana fight how different he can make a fight if he wants to. The first fight I think was just as grueling as the cotto fight, or near to. He thought he could stop Maidana and wanted revenge probably for Adrien Broner. In the second fight besides one beautiful counter by Maidana, it was completely controlled by Floyd. As for the Crawford performance, not that it matches up stylistically the same, but I feel like his performance was more akin to Pacquiao vs Cotto. Mayweather was untouchable vs Corrales, Corrales wasn’t really landing to Mayweather at all, even blocked shots. Crawford was being hit by Spence, and I think Errol landed some pretty good shots. However, like Pacquiao, Terence wanted to show him who was stronger, both guys got most of their knock downs off countering and catching the opponent between punches. Terence did fight better defensively then Pacquiao, but Manny was throwing a large volume of punches. I can just remember how both them seemed to have their punches cut like knives through their opponents defenses. Their angles, movement while punching, ability to pick shots while in motion. But mainly how each clean shot really hurt the opponent, and cut through that mental barrier fighters put up. Crawford really reminded me of the “smaller” fighter vs the big solid puncher who not only could handle the punch, but could dole out far more punishment.
