Love how Harvey transitions from 1) trying hard not to laugh to 2) trying to hide it behind his hand to 3) giving up all pretense about halfway through the skit.
How Tim Conway could keep a straight face while destroying Harvey Korman!! Those were my favorite skits on the Carol Burnett show. RIP Mr. Conway, you were a legend.
@lisa Marie there was a skit where Tim was telling this story about an elephant and he kept going on and on towards the end you see Carol cracking up and the look on Vikki's face you could tell she was getting annoyed and so at the end when Tim was done she went off script and Tim lost it and same with Carol and Dick Van Dyke.
R.I.P. Tim Conway (1933-2019.) Break a leg in that Great Comedy Variety Show in the Sky, and keep all those angels rolling on the floor in uncontrollable laughter, Tim! And give Harvey Korman my regards!
Talk about having a victim at your disposal......Carol Burnett said it the best for this sketch........Harvey was destroyed by Tim. But they were one of the BEST teams on television........and nobody today could EVER match their talents. True comedy geniuses. We love you guys.
Conway lost it and broke character at 8.37 of this clip but how he lasted that long with a str8 face seeing Korman in utter destruction with laughter is beyond me.
Paul Krill I literally just got done telling my wife that that was one of my favorite things on that show, was to watch Tim stay totally and completely in character while everyone else around him fell apart.
@@brantstarkey317 The Elephant skit Conway totally lost it too. They were all on the floor after she made the remark to Carol Burnett saying "is that little ass-hole through yet".
When cable TV started in Puerto Rico back in the 70's The Carol Burnett Show was an instant hit due to these two, everybody even make bets in how long was going to take for Harvey Korman to break character due to Tim Conway hilarious comedic skills...these two together were a "laugh-a-thon"
Proof that good, clean humor will ALWAYS be funny. Interesting how my grandmother, my parents, I and even my kids could all sit here and laugh at these two because we ALL know how scary it can be to go to the dentist. The man was a comedic genius!
THIS is komedy! I was crying by the end! Perhaps, these are things Mr Conway would LIKE to have seen, so he had to create it! Love the way he works off Harvey, breaking him up when he's supposed to be straight faced! Really love these guys! They were masters of their trade!
funniest skit I have ever seen in my life. The two greatest comedians ever to grace the planet - no politics, no abusive expletives, just good clean IMPROVISED hilarity. God has a new Angel. My condolences to Timmy Jr. on KFI. whom I listen to every night when not filming. xxxx
This was my grandpas favorite segment. Its my 2nd fav (the first being Conway telling the siamese elephant story) They are all LEGENDS. RIP Mr. Conway. We will miss you
RIP Tim Conway!! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED him. He was the funniest on the Carol Burnett show, period. When you make fellow comics laugh so effortlessly, you are the king of comedy. Big influence on my comedic genius, LOL. RIP Mr. FUNNYMAN!
TIM CONWAY... was only signed full time for the last season of the show.....CAROL BURNETT.....quote...'' when it comes to TIM CONWAY .....WE BLEW IT !!
when they rehersed the skit Tim didn't have any of the numb needle stuff in it, he threw that in improv because the skit they rehersed wasn't that funny and neither of them were very happy with it. Then Tim went off the deep end, Harvey didn't know he was going to do any of that stuff.
Yes. Carol said that the cast and crew would take bets to see not "whether" Tim could break-up Harvey, but how much TIME before it would happen. Obviously, the times were going to get shorter. Well done, Harvey and Tim!
The first & 2nd years of SNL with original cast with John Belushi Dan Akroyd, and Bill Murray with frequent guest Steve Martin were always funny! (This 1975-76)
This sketch, along with the elephant story and the Nazi interrogator with the puppet of Adolf Hitler, in my opinion, were the three funniest sketches Tim Conway ever did. Rest In Peace, And thank you for the laughter.
There will never be another Tim Conway. He truly was the best. Thank you for all the laughter. You truly were a legend. You will never be forgotten. You can now make Harvey laugh again. Rest in peace. ❤
I was probably between 10-15 years old when this was in its prime. I used to watch it just to see how Conway would make Korman laugh. The Carol Burnett Show was a tremendous show!!!
Harvey starts to lose it at around 6 minutes into this sketch. I wouldn't have lasted that long! I still LMAO and I've seen this probably 12 to 15 times.
there was an interview done and harvey actually peed his pant from laughing.....tim actually had a dentist in the military that actually put the needle through the cheek
I've never laughed at anyone the way I laughed at Tim. He has no equal. He is truly a treasure for ever more. Thank you Tim, for sharing your undeniable talent with us. You and Harvey were American treasures
I'm 37 so this was before my time, but my mom raised me on The Carol Burnett Show reruns. Tim Conway was a comedic genius and no matter how many times we all watch his sketches, it elicits the same laughter as it always did and will. What a legend.
Always looked forward to his skits on the Carol Burnett show every week. What a great man and comedic talent!! Family entertainment at its best; something sorely needed today.
